On instinct, he raised his paw and saw a small barrier shield him and the fireball faltered against it. He looked up to find a shield emerging from his paws. Looking shocked at first, he stopped for a moment on his tracks and when more fireball and bolts of fire were thrown towards him, he felt the power pulse on his paws and he captured the attacks on his shield and saw them shrink disappearing into thin air.

He asked back and noticed the look on Felan and Josiah’s face. Suddenly his hands were free and he was just as surprised as Felan and Josiah. The guard immediately shot a dart at Keyne but it stopped inches away from his face. They all watched as the dart turned around and shot the guard. “I thought our powers were blocked.” Felan said as she tried to use her with no luck.

He ran forward, dodging a couple of Knights who tried to tackle him to the ground, and continued ahead with a grin on his face. Which was soon wiped off as the ground beneath him froze, making him slip into the dirt. A Shield of Guren's team snatched the ball from him with a kick and passed it to her teammate, who threw it to a Knight as they bulldozed an opponent. And the one who received it, leaped up, avoiding a foe's wing from underneath, and kicked the ball up in the air as hard as he could with the help of control over wind. Then, grin

However, I also register two hefty guards stationed there, one on each pillar. Fuck. I need a distraction. My pulse races as I scan around me, looking for anything I can use at my disposal. There is no way I can overpower two trained pack guards in my current state. Just then, my eyes land on a small ceramic vase sitting useless on the raise stone platform beside me. It is just within reach. I pick it up silently and throw it far into another hallway before I quickly hide. I hear the vase shattering with a loud crash against whatever surface in there.

I kicked him away and watched him fall to the floor like a bug, stunned by bug spray. I ducked another punch and injected the Midazolam into the neck of the other guard. He reached up, stunned, not sure what had just happened. As he reached out to grab me, his hand fell. He looked at it in shock before falling to his knees until he was on the floor a moment later.

I won’t go down easily. I lunge at the guard, leading with the small rock I managed to pick up from the ground during my roll and I smash it into his temple. He goes down with a thud, but before I can turn to check for more, someone punches me in the side and the sheer force of it knocks the breath from me.
