You Need Some Milk Novels & Stories

I hurried up to put my tray back and go to the counter where my milk is. It is required for us to drink our milk because there is no sunlight here and without it, we would not have enough nutrition for our body. I was about to drink it when i suddenly remembered the man earlier. He looks familiar but I just can't point where I’ve seen him actually. I tried to remember if i saw him on the line earlier or if he drank his milk but I couldn’t. "Maybe because he did not," I muttered. But that is not even allowed. I looked at my hands where i hold the glass of milk and tilted it. And there I saw something.

I simply looked for milk because I didn't know where it was. "What can I help you with?" he asked me. Maybe he noticed that I was looking for something. I smiled at him. "I'm looking for milk because it's hard for me to sleep. I know that every morning there's milk, if there's still some left," I answered him because what was in my mind was that there was no milk because it might have run out or they'd already made it cheese.

Yet. He held up two fingers. “Two please. I didn't get my sandwich this morning, either.” I added a couple more eggs into the pan, letting them melt into the butter while I added my seasonings. Then, it was just to keep stirring them until they were done. I picked up the unopened coconut. “Do either of you know where a nail is?” I asked after a moment of searching. “The milk will make you feel better, Charlotte. It's one of the best re-hydrating liquids around.”

Mary briefly paused before suggesting, "How about milk? A pregnant woman usually needs more calcium, so it'd be a good choice." Then, Blake eagerly asked, "Where's the milk?" So, Mary fetched some milk and passed it to him. After that, Blake walked over to the cupboard and found himself a thermos. Then, he poured the warm milk into it. Just then, Mary spotted Yasmin and immediately greeted her, saying, "You're awake, Mrs. Ford? How was your sleep last night?"

What she said isn't funny, but the manner and timing of her speech sounded so strange and somehow the four of us are all laughing again, though the laughter is nervous but I love how it is making me feel a little bit at ease. Right then, Eugene clears her throat. “Miss Daisy, there is one more thing.” She turns and picks up a glass from the side table, a tall glass of milk which I have been drinking every morning for the past two weeks on Dr. Audrey's recommendation. Extra calcium for the baby. “Your daily milk. You are not supposed to forget this, especially not today when you will be on your feet for hours,” Eugene says, offering the milk to me with a smile. “Thanks,” I take the glass grat

I teased him and he smiled at me. “The milk is not for me.” He answered. “Then who is it for?” I asked him and his eyes glinted with mischief. “It is for you.” He answered. I scrunched my face in disgust. “I didn’t tell you that I want milk,” I told him. “Right but I read it online that pregnant women need to take a lot of milk. Learned that it helps the baby to get strong bones.” He said. “But… I don’t like milk.” I told him. I remember how I and my mum used to fight over it. She always insists on us taking a glass of milk at least twice a week but I have never really enjoyed taking milk. For no reason at all.

He glanced at my pants and then turned his face away, “You forgot something in the bathroom.” “I did?” “Yeah. I think it might be important so take a look.” He kept his eyes away while he scratched the back of his head, “I’ll go get some milk. We ran out of it last night.” “Okay.” Without any delay he went out while I took the eggs out of the pan and placed them on the plate. We’re out of milk? I wondered and opened the fridge but we still had two full packs of it. Did he not know? Hmmm. Maybe he just wants some flavoured milk?

He didn’t stare too long, either, which gave me time to quietly grab my breakfast from the table. “This is for you.” Zion and Finley both plunked down a bottle of warm milk in front of me at the exact same time. “I called dibs on giving him milk first, Zion,” Finley said, shooting him a look. “Oh yeah? Let’s see which one Mathews chooses,” Zion shot back, flashing a smug grin. “Actually, this one’s his,” Hayden cut in, his voice firm and no-nonsense. “Goat milk. I ordered it from A****n specifically for you, Mathews, and you’re going to drink it. You’re too thin—I don’t want you getting sick.”

“I can handle lengthy conversations even with a dehydrated gullet.” “Do you not think that it would be wise to be on the safe side at least?” Luke looked at the clock on the wall, which was now 3:25 pm. “It hurts to have a dehydrated gullet. I think the milk would do just fine.” Luke pointed at the milk on the table. Aurora looked at the glass of milk that her mother had brought for her earlier, “Okay, fine,” She stood up, “I’ll have to replace this one, it’s been here for a long time.”
