Five

We, Ana and I were now both sitting in the mess hall. The day went well, or at least it went just the way it always used to be.

My food remained untouched, unlike Ana who was almost finished with hers. I don't know if i just don't have the appetite or it's just the food is not cooked well today or maybe if I'm not just feeling well.

Ana, who finally noticed that I was not eating, looked at me with her worried eyes.

"Are you okay?" she asked me.

"Yeah. It's just I don't have the appetite. ", I sadly say.

Despite assuring her, she still looked sad and worried, so I sighed and took a spoonful of the soup and tried to eat it. But I ended up vomiting. Luckily, the mess wasn't big, so I just had to wipe it with several tissues.

"I'm sorry. I ruined your appetite," I apologized.

"No, you didnt! No one can ruin my appetite" she joked.

I smirked at her.

"I know" i said.

"I just don't understand why you get so fat, hahaha," I laughed.

The moment she was done with her food, we immediately took our tray to put it back.

I was just casually walking when I saw the same student who handed me my tray. 

It's him.

I turned my gaze back to where I was heading when I suddenly collided with a wall.

The tray fell to the floor and the food was scattered on the floor. I hurriedly picked them up one by one when i suddenly stopped.

I didn't hear anything.

Not even a gasp or a laugh or a murmur. The hall was completely in silence. I looked around only to see everyone doing their own things like I'm not here.

"What is happening?" I uttered.

When I tried to stand up, my forehead bumped into something. But when I looked at it, it was nothing.

I raised my hands and touched them.

My mouth formed an 'o'.

It's an invincible wall. Like a force field.

I looked at him.

He is staring directly at me. When he started walking towards my direction, I stood up and composed myself.

He picked up the tray and handed it over to me just like how he did it the first time.

"Don't drink the milk" he muttered.

And just like that, everything went back to normal.

When I tried to touch the wall that was once there, it was gone.

"Agi?" Ana called me.

She tilted her head and motioned me to come over.

"Did you just see that?" I unwittingly asked.

"What?" she asked, clueless.

So she didn't?

I was still in awe when I put my tray back and walked out of the mess hall.

What just happened?

"Ana?" I called for Ana's attention.

Her brows went up.

"What's his name?" I pointed at him

"Oh" she exclaimed. "Why are you asking?" 

"I just want to k-know" i lied.

There was still curiosity in her eyes but she answered despite it.

"Grayson. Level 15, Quite famous. Smart and uhmm Illusion manipulator" she said.

I knew his name but now I know how he managed to stay hidden during that night. It was an illusion.

"Wow" I reacted. "You know a lot."I stared at her.

"Oh no! I don't have a crush on him," she defended.

"Are you sure?" I teased her.

She laughed but she still insisted that she didn't like Grayson.

"He's just famous," she shrugged.

Illusion Manipulation.

So he used an illusion to slow me down so I couldn't drink my milk?

"That doesn't make sense" I whipped.

I tried to ease my mind away from that thought. I shrugged and packed my towels and went to the bathroom to take a bath and then change.

I usually go with Ana but she's missing her nameplate and it's required to enter the premises, so I have to go first. I even told her to look under my bed because, for some anonymous reasons, name plates always end up there and I don't even know how that happens.

I took the second stall to the top, since that was the only free one in the bathroom. I overheard some of the girls talking about their abilities.

I hurried up and quickly changed. After finishing, I went back to our room to look for Ana but she wasn't there, so I figured out she may be in the bath already, so I walked back into the mess hall to wait for her.

Before we sleep, we have to drink the milk that the government provided. The line was getting shorter and if I didn't line up and wait for Ana I could get in some trouble.

I looked inside the mess hall and decided to get in the line.

"Where is she?" I worriedly asked.

I peaked along the line and saw the A.I gave Grayson his milk.

Don't drink the milk.

I suddenly stopped moving, causing the ones behind me to crumble up on me.

"Hey!" one of them shouted.

"I'm sorry" i bowed.

I scratched my head.

"Why?" i uttered.

I tried to find him in the mess hall and caught him looking at me standing in the corner with his arms folded in front.

I gulped.

What am I suppose to do?
