I noticed Chloe and Grace had stopped playing and were watching avidly from the play area. “The media is calling me a hero,” I said, just going with the first words that came to mind. “But you people I’m looking at right now deserve that title more than I do. I’ve been here with you for less than an hour, and I already feel inspired to change the world. What a wonderful gift.”

Mom is one of the most famous reporters in the country. She exposes all kinds of wrongdoing, and the public hails her as a champion of justice. What she doesn't know is that while she's out fighting for other people, I'm being viciously bullied at school. When I finally work up the courage to ask her for help, she gives me a disgusted look and tells me to quit being so dramatic. Eventually, my bullies beat me to death and bury my body in a reeking drainage ditch. When my body is finally dug up, Mom is the reporter sent to cover the scene.

Do you want to help those innocent people from the bad ones who are oppressing them?" He inquired. Hero? Can I protect others from the bad guys? "Are you joking?" "Do I look like I'm joking?" He stared at me, and I saw the seriousness in his eyes. He opened his palm and ordered, "Look at this. This is the power that I'm going to give you."

Dax looked at James, "Knock down bad guys?" "Yeah." "Can I be like Spider-Man and Bat-Man?" "Sure." "Can I be like Popeye?" "Of course." James nodded, "Don't you always want to be a hero? If you have a younger brother or sister, you can be a hero. Dax, imagine the scene of you protecting your younger sister or brother. Does it feel great?" "Yes!" Dax nodded heavily, "I want to be a hero!" James smiled kindly, but his smile was somewhat smug.
