I Had the Wrong Guy, He Made the Wrong Choice

I Had the Wrong Guy, He Made the Wrong Choice

"Ms. Richardson, are you really going to withdraw?" Whether Leonardo loved me or not had nothing to do with me anymore. Over the past few years, I had given him my resources and affection. Even if everything had been based on a case of mistaken identity, I had more than paid my dues. We were even. I chuckled. "That's right. I'm making room for Renee. Do me a favor and tell him the truth. I had the wrong man all along. My heart has always belonged to someone else. Tell him to take the hint and stop pestering me."

OWNED BY AN INVISIBLE HUSBAND

OWNED BY AN INVISIBLE HUSBAND

Every single thing looked carefully placed like the house itself had rules. Our footsteps echoed quietly through the hallway. “How many people live here?” I asked. “Staff members rotate.” “That didn’t answer my question either.” Victor glanced at me briefly. “You’ll adjust faster if you stop asking the wrong questions.” That somehow annoyed me instantly. “What exactly are the right questions?” “The useful ones.” “Oh my God,” I muttered. “You people talk like villains.” Victor ignored me completely. We turned down another hallway and I noticed something immediately. One of the corridors ahead remained completely dark unlike the others.

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

THE GOODBYE HE MISSED

"You have some experience with that, Olivia. I would think you might recognize it." The room was quiet. Outside, somewhere in the neighborhood, a dog was barking at something. "I've known you for five years," Victor said. "I have watched you carefully for five years, because my grandson was not watching carefully enough and someone needed to." He set his water glass down. "You are not a villain. I want to be clear about that because I think you may have come here half expecting me to say otherwise. You are a frightened woman who found a mechanism that worked and used it long past the point where it was defensible. That is a very human thing to do. It does not make you evil. It makes you some

great start..concise with nuances. hope it would end the same way. not tooo many chapters that the main characters became watered down with so many side stories. i'm reading along slowly... so that i don't have to wait for updates. keep up the good work, dear author!

I'm only on chapter 5 of this story and I'm so invested. It's well written and I love how the female lead, Sophia, is depicted. I hope things work out for her and the children, away from the man who doesn't recognize the value in the family he's neglected.

I AM THE ONLY PERSON THE VILLAIN CANNOT KILL

I AM THE ONLY PERSON THE VILLAIN CANNOT KILL

Elara's steps slowed without her permission. She knew who he was. Everyone in the kingdom knew who he was. Lord Kael Draven. The Black Villain. The man they said had burned three villages to ash without blinking. The man they said could not be killed, though no one could explain why. Guards spoke of him in low voices. Children were warned never to look him in the eye. And above his head, glowing faintly through the rain, was a number. 0 DAYS. Elara stopped walking entirely.

The Luna He Threw Away

The Luna He Threw Away

But something close enough to matter. “The House of Thane,” he said quietly, “will leave the child alone.” A pause. “You are… an unusual kind of enemy, Ariadne Voss.” “I’m not your enemy,” I said. “I never was. I’m just someone who understands value. Your house forgot that everything has a cost even cleverness, when you spend it on the wrong fight.” I stood. “You should have tried the wine,” I added. “It was good.” He left. And just like that, the most dangerous of the three the calculating house, the one that could only be beaten by thinking faster walked out defeated.

The Un-Stereotypical Life of A Prince and A Heiress

Death is the only ending for the villains. "Y-You.. motherf*cker! Double-crosser! Dirty filthy rat liar!" The Lord of Crimes yapped like a dog. "Aren't you afraid we'll kill Adharia Valler?!" Claire shrieked. Ah, she's no naive. Siri says your broken butt can't even afford me, much less end my life. Dumb brat. You know, your face is like an exam, even people don't want to think about it. Duh! Jealousy is in your DNA, suck it up brat!

Vampire Gone Wrong

Vampire Gone Wrong

I said becoming serious. "We do." she agreed and we moved towards the couch at the side of my room and sat facing each other. "What happened today Xander?" she asked looking very vulnerable. "Those were malformed turned. Not every turned comes out like Ms Vanderbilt. That is why they were like that." "But aren't malformed turned roguish? They know no leader. But when those turned attacked, they spoke of a master. They wanted to take me to their master." she asked curiously. It was curious.

Running With His Heir

Running With His Heir

“You’ve been a bad, bad girl, and you’re getting your punishment. You see, you thought I wouldn’t know you would bring your little friends, huh? Silly girl. You should have planned better, but then again, this wouldn’t be as entertaining. How much would you bet that when I open this door, a few of those that came with you will have their severed heads flying everywhere?” I looked at him terrified. What the fuck is he talking about? How— how did he know? He couldn’t have known! And— and even if he did, they wouldn’t win! They couldn’t! The White Howlers and Blazing Wolves were stronger! They were… weren’t they? I started to spiral into my own uncertainty while Viktor just stood there looking

Until The Last Day

Until The Last Day

"Do you think I don’t want to scream? Do you think I don’t wish to have the truth ripped from me? But listen, fox…if I share what I know, the house will hear it. And if the house hears…” Suddenly, the void around them trembled as a low hum echoed through the darkness, sounding like locks clicking shut. The maid flinched and covered her ears. “It’s listening right now. It’s always listening.” Vincent snarled defiantly into the air. “Let it listen! I'll burn it all to the ground!” The hum grew deeper, resembling a growl of its own. The maid fell to her knees, gasping for breath. "You don't get it…you’re not just fighting him anymore. You're fighting the house itself."

Mr. Billionaire's Contract Wife

Mr. Billionaire's Contract Wife

Robert didn't believe it and tried to tear the contract. the bald man snatched it back quickly and said to the neighbors watching the commotion, "Everyone can see clearly. We are not bullying anyone! We have a contract with proper signatures and seals! This house doesn't belong to Robert Wright, but to his brother! And now his brother owes me money, so he used this house as collateral! I am here to reclaim my house, what's wrong with that?" The neighbors around began pointing and whispering. Robert's newly-wedded wife, upon hearing this, went crazy and started yelling at Robert, "Robert Wright, you bastard! Didn't you say this house belonged to you? How could you deceive me like this?" After
