June still remembered it like it had just happened. Her roommate had lifted her blood-soaked face, jaws stretched wide, chunks of half-chewed flesh still clinging between her teeth. Strips of meat dangled as she stared straight at June, a wet, horrifying sound coming from her throat. Over the past four years, the world had been overrun with zombies. Everywhere you looked, people were panicking, barely holding it together.

Their eyes were empty, unfocused, and they were both wearing a strange, hollow smile. The rescue team leader stepped forward. "Mr. Sands? Mrs. Sands?" Dad suddenly clutched the tin of spam against his chest and shrank backward, his eyes wide. "Shh. Be quiet," he whispered, his voice shaking. "There are zombies out there. Going outside means death. "This is the last of our food. We have to ration it. We have to make it last." Mom nodded along beside him, completely serious. "One less mouth to feed. You'll get to live a few more days."

the girl yelled, her voice slurred. Drake chuckled darkly. “I want somebody pretty.” Wrapping his arm around her waist, he swiftly disappeared into a secluded corner with her. With a swift motion, he sank his fangs into her neck, his eyes darkening as he fed on her blood. The girl screamed and struggled against his hold, but Drake remained steadfast, draining her until she lay lifeless on the ground, her neck oozing blood. Stepping back, Drake observed his handiwork with a sense of satisfaction. “That wasn’t so bad.”

According to some very reliable sources, this particular vampire had chosen the most obvious of clichés and decided to reside in an old castle that scared the crap out of even the most badass hunters.

The zombie falls on me and I push it aside. Hurriedly, I got up again, only to find out that I'm surrounded by hungry zombies ready to tear me up, almost twenty of them. I try to grab my rifle, but a zombie already kick it aside while shuffling to me. The zombies flooded around me, though I kill some with my knife, but it's not enough. Soon, the zombies overpowered me, dipping their nails into my body then a rough, tiny zombie lady sink her teeth into my neck. In a matter of seconds, my whole body is covered in blood as they feasted on me, Zombie bite is a mix of extreme pain and irritation.

My mind went into a downward spiral, thinking up ways to survive a crazy, zombie apocalypse. 1.) Machetes instead of guns, that way I won't run out of ammo. 2.) Find reliable allies. Let's see, Rick has Daryl in The Walking Dead and Roberta has Addy in Z-Nation. Ok, so I guess werewolf friends would come in handy if there's ever an outbreak - but can a werewolf become a zombie? SHIT! I don't think I'd survive a zombie-werewolf apocalypse.
