“You might have, but the details you provided are completely different from what the police found. If you really did kill the man, you can’t possibly not even know where the man died, could you?”
Carol looked up. When she looked at the handsome man in the suit, she found him familiar. Suddenly, she recognized him. “Are you… Gavin Renae?”
Gavin put his name card back into his pocket and said, “You know me, it seems. But then again, we share the same last name. We might have been family a few centuries ago,” he joked.
All Carol wanted to say was that there was no business person in Northvale who did not know who Gavin was. He was, after all, publicly acknowledged as a really talented person.
