Your World As I See It Novels & Stories

I stare at it for a second. Then send it. Because whatever this is, It ends. Or it gets defined. And I don’t leave things undefined. Not in my world. Not ever.

I put both hands on my stomach and shut my eyes. Let me in, I thought. Let me understand. And the world opened. --- I saw a battlefield. Not yet real—but coming. Wolves and witches. Fire and storm. A child at its center, brilliant and terrifying. And on the other side, Theodore. But he wasn’t the same.

~ Moxie ~ “I just don’t get it.” I say more to myself than Randall as I pull my eyes away from the microscope, refocusing on the room around me. My eyes are beyond dry…I can feel the redness spreading across the rim of my eyelids. I think I am even past the stage of being able to fall asleep, I would just lay awake staring at the ceiling, all the scientific formulae’s for a cure flashing across my vision. I’m even starting to question whether I am slowly turning mad.

My deskmate, Elaine Jenkins, was the kind of girl who was born with a sharp tongue. She loved nothing more than embarrassing me in front of everyone. When I showed up in a brand-new white shirt, she sneered, "Look at the country boy who finally made it to the city. Are you really that worried people will not realize how hopelessly tacky your taste is?" When I switched to contact lenses, she laughed. "Those eyes look like a dead fish's. Taking off your glasses is not going to magically turn you into a handsome guy." Then I won a prize in the math competition. She just rolled her eyes and said, "Please. Everyone knows he stays up all night grinding through problem sets. He practically worke

I asked. She gave me a sideways look. "I have an idea, but I don't think anyone wants to believe it." I just looked out the window of my truck and shook my head. She was right, I knew what they were as well, but I still thought it was impossible. It was like something out of a bad B rated movie and I didn't want to believe that the world had gone to hell like this.

Everything I had once longed for more than anything was right here in front of me now, but it felt like nothing special after all. Snow kept drifting across the screen. The code ran smoothly without any lags or glitches. It was clear Edwin had put in a ton of effort into building everything—even more effort than he had ever given Melissa. Way more care and attention to detail had been put into the coding work. But I merely skimmed through everything in silence and, after a short pause, clicked on the delete button. When the confirmation prompt appeared, I didn't hesitate at all. "Are you sure you want to permanently delete this?"

ELIZABETH: The world was blurry when I first opened my eyes. My head throbbed like someone had taken a hammer to it, and a deep, dull ache settled in the base of my skull. I blinked rapidly, trying to force clarity back into my vision. It felt as though the air was thick, suffocating, and the room I was in was dimly lit, with shadows creeping up the walls. My arms felt strangely heavy, and it wasn't until I tried to move them that I realized they were bound. Panic surged through me like ice water in my veins.

I rested my face between my hands and laughed incredulously at how stupid I was at that not-so-distant time. In spite of everything, I felt happy to have learned a lot and grown from it all. The submissive and foolish Helena no longer existed and I couldn't be prouder. As Queen Beyoncé would say: Who run the world? Girls! Which meant that no man deserves to waste our time and our mental health. I opened the book, hoping that I could concentrate on the subject, since my mind kept focusing on only one thing: John and Cassie's breakup.

I was running in a world so dark; so cold A world which felt like a prison A world voided of meaning and comfort A world that ran parallel to Terra Australis I was running in a world so eerie; so mysterious A world whose floor is nothing but stone filled with water that got deeper with every step A world that will snatch you of calm and reason A world that reflected true silence I was running in a world so dark; so desolate A world that kept secrets A world that covered its true purpose beneath its aquatic sheets

That time I really wanted to see the world again. I became happy. "I can't see and feel that world anymore." A world that "I" can't only appreciate. "That future." But in this world? "This is my room where I can sleep happily." The best place to stay. "In this past." I met Nero's. I met the Mamo's. I met Butt. I met Breast. I met Dick. I met Crep. I met the Devil's. I met Anus. I met the real God's.
