Your World As I See It Novels & Stories

My sister’s eyes did the same, landing where I stood, but not *seeing. They were tracking a heat signature. A silhouette. Not Willa Roane. Just “Subect: Key Author, Baseline Insecurities.” “Look at me,” I said. They didn’t. Not really. The world tilted again, trying to push me into the right spot to match their sightlines, to make the scene align. I held my ground. The bridge groaned under the strain. Ink rain hammered the castle walls. For a heartbeat, the Final World tried to rewrite itself into Chapter One: me on the ground, them above, voices pouring down like law.

He asked me and I shook my head profusely, I liked it but I wouldn't think of getting one "Elysian!"I called out his name and heard him hum in response "What's the actual world like?" I asked and he looked at me carefully "The outside world is evil" He says and I look at him shocked "Evil? How do you mean? Ma.Coco told me the outside world is beautiful and full of people, so how is that evil?" I asked and he sighed

I’m waiting, so please come home. She sends the song through next. It’s ‘Take On The World’ by You Me At Six. And with all the lyrics I know I’m not waiting a second to fight for her and with her. I can tell her. It’s not my fault but for the longest time I truly thought and believed it was. ‘Just say the word, we’ll take on the world’ ‘Look in my eyes, I will never desert you.’ ‘Nobody knows you the way that I know you.’

The world has faded out of view and now all I can see is her. She stares at me, and I stare back because I have no idea what to make of this. The person in front of me is ray of light thin. She’s almost see-through. “I am see-through.” My mouth is snap shut and I'm lost for words. I turn around and I can't see anyone. I can’t see Roman. I can’t see Alpha Kai. I can’t see Maya or Axios.

"Because I don't want to let you go so now you're making up your own story?" Suddenly Yassi's eyes widened while looking at the prince. "You think I'm just making up my own story? Haven't you noticed from the first time we met until now that my speech and actions are different than the women here? Because I'm not really from this world. This world that what you think is not true but only a book was written by a great writer in my world and all of you here are just characters of this story. And that's why I am leaving your house to find the person who can help me to get out of the world it's a book. Because I want to go back to the real world. "

Because this time— It wasn’t just for me. The silhouette’s voice echoed through the network. Through every node. Every connection. Every system. “Observe,” it said. And I realized— This wasn’t just part of the war anymore. This was a declaration. And the whole world was about to see it.

The word falls from my lips, barely a whisper. But loud enough that three pairs of eyes turn to me. Loud enough that my entire world shatters.

This time I don’t care if I lose my self-control. “They want to see me being me? I’ll show them how dreadful I can be.” My voice was getting higher with every word, becoming more and more pitchy, almost shrill. “Not just here in this land, the entire world will learn who I am. They don’t know who they are messing with.”

By the time I was done with the damn lesson, I was done! I flopped down on the chair behind the desk as I waited for the next class to arrive. This was not what I had planned for my life. Wasn’t this worse than being in the damn convent? No, nothing was worse than becoming a breeding machine. It was as if someone had taken away my rose-coloured glasses and I was finally looking at our world with my eyes wide open. I could see each fault. I can see each flaw in our society. Things I never even thought of looking at before. What used to be a colourful world was now worse than a blank and white silent movie!

I gasped. “Really?” He sounded terrified. “Yes...” Then, the world went black. I opened my eyes, but I wasn't in my apartment. I was standing in a dense, silver-misted forest. “What on earth is this?” I thought. “Am I dead? Is this hell?”
