The remaining wolves had gone into hiding and only their packs knew of their existence. The Alpha and Luna of Grey Moon had been thrown together in a union to preserve their species by their parents before they passed away.

“Desmond,” I breathed out, “don’t.” But he didn't listen to my plea. His lips found my neck, his teeth gently grazing the frantic pulse that betrayed my panic. My skin instantly lit up beneath his mouth, a complete traitor to my mind. He was too busy flirting with his secretary to care. Me? Luca? We weren't even on his radar. What he didn't know was that I was already dead.
