The air within the Pleasure of Dragons thrummed with magic. The clink of jeweled goblets, and the scent of exotic perfumes mingled with sweat. Qerev’nrys surveyed her domain, a slow, predatory smile stretching her lips. This was her masterpiece, a temple dedicated to sensation, where the ancient, insatiable appetites of Adistaktos's dragons found their deepest satisfaction and she found her money.

By dragon law, I need to have one in the next five years if I want to continue my rule, if I do not produce one, my insane brother could try to claim the throne, and no one would want that. I am a full dragon and with that, I need to be even more careful. Half breeds: that is what the council wants. That is what is safe. Half noble human and half dragon are what bloodlines are supposed to be made of when royalty breeds. When two full-blood royal dragons mate, you risk health issues along with the possibility of mental instability…. Like what happened with my twin brother Sanderson and me. We were born from the same egg, we look identical, but are nothing alike… he should be locked up in an i

It floods through the air. It floods through me. My wounds burn. Then begin to close. Malrec notices immediately. His eyes flash with furious disbelief. “No,” he breathes. “Yes,” I growl. I surge upward with renewed strength, throwing him back across the terrace. He crashes through the remains of another pillar and rolls across the ancient stone floor before regaining his footing. For a moment we circle one another. Two dragons standing in the center of a dying empire. Above us the bridge blazes like a star.

Horace leaned in, then roared, "Why is he blue? My son can't be blue!" Silence gripped the crowd. Everyone exchanged glances, no one daring to speak. Dragon royals were born red. It was an ancient rule. Other colors existed among common dragons, but never royalty. A blue dragon, born to the prince's concubine, screamed one thing. She had betrayed him. The crowd's stares burned, and Horace's rage boiled over. He lifted the child and smashed it to the ground, killing it instantly. The gruesome scene made me shudder.

As Edon continued its evolution, so Neyalha and Gheyaral came to know that they, though immortal, also felt a desire to have progeny that could serve not only to expand the race of Dragons, but could aid them in their task of guiding the inhabitants of Edon. And so were born to them, emerging from their shining, silvery shells upon the highest peak in the Erimanthe Mountains, a pair of young Dragons. As with their parents, so too were the young ones a male and a female. Yet they were so vastly different in appearance it was immediately evident which was which. The male was dark, his scales an iridescent black that shimmered with ripples of color in the morning light. Red eyes glowed beneath

Her eyes were bloodshot, filled with a wild, desperate disbelief as she shrieked her demand: "Why are you doing this to me?! I walked right to death's door to give you a son! And you try to murder me?!" Kail let out a harsh, mocking laugh, gesturing at her like she was a diseased animal. "My son? You treacherous bitch, do you have any idea that every royal dragon born into this line possesses molten-gold reptilian slits? Never blue eyes! You dared to bring a bastard into my court!" Clara had been entirely ignorant of royal dragon biology. The realization hit her like a physical blow, leaving her trembling and cowering in the corner of the bed.

Her lips curve into a smile, eyes bright. It is Alfred, next, whose shoulders sag with relief so intense one might taste it. They are roars, he realizes, as the sounds draw closer. “What is that noise,” Duchess Clair asks sharply in the frozen room. Darla stands, as does Alfred. “It is your daughter, Duchess,” she laughs. “Lady Alcina, the dragonlord. Stormbringer.” * * * * * * * * * * The dragons land with twin roars, making the ground beneath them shake with the weight of their descent.

“Then there are lightning dragons. They can put an electric layer around their body as protection and they can control lightning and electricity with their minds. So they can turn lights on and off or start the oven by just thinking it. Lightning dragons appear in colors of yellow, orange or a mix. Earth dragons tend to be green, brown or a mix and can control rocks and plants with their mind. They can also control elements that come from the earth like metals and crystals. Lastly, the wind dragons appear in colors of purple, gray or a mix. They can control wind and can create tornados and hurricanes and are able to control which direction they go as well. I think they are the coolest,” says

2. "Alpha, there are three dragons circling our training grounds, what should we do?" Althea was breathless as she barged into his office, and Todd had to suppress a smile before he replied. "Well, now that depends Gamma Diaz, on what colors these dragons are. By chance would there be a black dragon, with eyes the color of the Caribbean?" Althea nodded firmly, and Todd couldn't resist sucking in a deep breath, heightening the nervousness of his youngest warrior. He pretended to think this through, before asking "Is another of them a pale white, and translucent in color?" Again Althea nodded, and Todd widened his eyes for effect. "Oh Goddess," The Alpha gasped, really selling the story, "Plea

The Commander's voice was calm and triumphant. A sinister shadow materialized behind him, and the two soldiers flanking Caleb were sent hurtling into the crowd of onlookers. The leader staggered aside, revealing my brother with unsettling clarity. A dark, swirling aura emanated from Caleb's figure, his eyes ignited in a fierce crimson glow at the center of intricate black lines spreading across his skin, tracing down his face and neck. Waves of raw power surged from him, palpable in the air, as he took a deliberate step closer to me. He lunged forward with clawed hands towards the commander just before falling to the ground, revealing the man that was standing behind him, a sword hilt held t
