It drained the strength from him until he had to lean against the wall for support. She had thanked Dave. Dave could stand in front of her openly and solve her problems. But he could only watch from the shadows. * On her way home after work, Nikki’s phone buzzed. A friend request popped up. The profile picture was an artfully lit side view of a man’s face. The note read: Friend of Jane Lincoln. A second friend request appeared a moment later. That profile picture was a cat. Before Nikki could open either one, her phone buzzed again.

Its a clear day and the sun is shining in the pale blue sky with a chilly breeze that wraps around us as we walk. “Nikki that’s not fair!” Kitty whines, when Nikki playfully pins her face down in the snow with his body pressing against hers as he begins to tickle her. “Nikki!” She giggles, thrashing around beneath him until she manages to get her knees under her, throwing her body back against him. “I never play fair with my Kitty,” Nikki playfully growls, as she grabs his arm and throws him over her shoulder. “Neither do I,” she seductively teases, then crawls over him playing with her hair as his arms are pinned by her legs.

Nikki ignores Luuk completely and Fayyim her smile widens until it illuminates the whole entire hall, and I already know we are in a shit ton of trouble when these two women ever decide to team up. "I like her Kian." Fayyim answers quickly. "Hey, I'm Fayyim. It's nice to meet you and this dickhead right here is always like that." She smirks and shakes Nikki her hand, both of them smiling. "Ah, look how cute! Our little peanut calls me a dickhead." Luuk chuckles and wraps his arm around her shoulders, looking at her like she is a toddler. "I mean look at this face!" Luuk reaches up to squeeze Fayyim her cheek, but she has him in an armlock in the blink of an eye.

“That’s what I’m about, purrrrr....” I love Nikki and she just unapologetically exhibits a whole lot of characteristics that I love about being a woman of color. Not only that she loves a badass character, she’s also a badass character herself and it takes so much balls to be young and yet super charged up with such confidence. Of course, I love Jane as much as Nikki. She’s more like this person who calms Nikki and me down to a notch, she’s some sort of a stabilizer or something. She’s this pristine white girl who comes off as a boring maid most of the time, often obsessed with her white boyfriend who’s enjoying his life in college.

Is that… is that Yūri?” Darius asked as Riko opened the zip file. “Mhm.” I nodded. “We need to buy Riko a kimono and recreate this picture.” Elijah nodded. “Hush.” Riko blushed but was smiling. “Let’s see what else they sent.” I suggested.
