Chapter 15: Return You wake up every morning to fight the same demons that left you so tired the night before, and that, my love, is bravery. *************** |Verena| "Try that one more time." Nate instructed as he advanced towards me. I aimed a kick to his chest. I wasn't even surprised when he stopped the blow smoothly, his slim fingers wrapped around my ankle as he yanked forward causing me to lose my balance. My body started plummet towards the ground.

A Succubus with the usual attributes—voluptuous body, killer curves, and boobs so big they’d suffocate a lesser demon. "Lord Paimon," she greeted, bowing respectfully. "How’s My Lord?" I asked, trying to sound composed. "On his throne," she replied. Then her eyes widened. "Lord Satan will arrive any minute. If you have a business, you better handle it now." My jaw clenched. Of all the fucking times to visit. Lord Satan—the Bringer of Doom, the Bitch of the Blazing Wasteland—was someone even I avoided. Demon Lords ruled the central dominion of Hell, unlike us Kings who were stuck managing the Nine Circles and our contractors. And Lord Satan? She was the worst.

“Come ou-“ before I could finish what was going to say his hands grip my hair and tilts my head so we’re face to face. Fuck. I reach my hands up as I simultaneously released a burst of power outwards. Demon powers are only at full strength in the underworld but up here it’s barely even a whisper. But the force that slammed into me and cancelled out my powers told me this Demon was on another level. He was one of the higher station hunters. “Now try not to struggle and let’s just go.” His voice was deep and low like if he was bored and I was an announce. I stay silent, shaking with rage.

The weapons glowed with strange symbols. "What–" Maddie began but started to cough. Smoke had filled the room. The burning demon was still running around the diner. The other three demons were crouched, and growling like rabid dogs, their saucerlike eyes glowing with a manic light. One of them let out a loud howl like a wolf and pounced towards Cassie. She screamed and there was a sudden hot burst of light as the sword in her hand blazed up. Cassie leaped forward, sweeping her weapon at the demon, her skirt billowing behind her. In the light of the Celestial Blade, the demon’s appearance was unpleasantly visible: black, scaly skin, a gaping black hole for a mouth, bulging, orblike eyes, and

I told him thank you and he bowed his head and started barking at a tall blonde-haired male with pointed ears. "Is that an elf? I thought they were small," I mumbled softly to Zurac. He chuckled and told me that they were all demons and obviously rescuing someone important. An automatic lock echoed in the room and all the cells unlocked. I heard one of the creatures yelling for Ezra. I recalled Abby talking about a demon named Ezra and waved at the male yelling for the name. I opened my cell door and ran up to the tall male and female demons and told them I can help locate this Ezra they were looking for. The female grabbed my arm and cried,"please, he's our son." I nodded and ran to a desk

They had the lowest power which made them vulnerable to vampires and also their fellow demons too. This was where the weird-looking creature that was watching Clarence fight with a fellow demon came from. "Are you sure of what you saw Venda?" A demon that had the horns like an antelope questioned her. "I know what I saw Zyul. She's alive and some demons are already going after her" "Sure they will and I think it's time we make our move," Zyul said as others listened to the conversation between him and Venda. "But I noticed something," Venda said looking thoughtful.

Both Dabria and Zeus were suddenly very angry with whatever they just heard. Dabria's eyes turned pitch black and her pupils turned blood red. Her skin colour turned pale and her gaze became cold as ice. "Looks like someone underestimated the warning we sent throughout the neighbouring territories. Ryan, take this guard towards the healing home. Then meet us at the southern side of the territory boundary wall. Zeus and I are going straight towards the conflicted area." Dabria growled angrily as she heard the guard. After ordering Ryan, Dabria and Zeus looked at each other. Dabria and Zeus nodded their heads. Zeus shifted into his half beast form. Once they were ready, they ran straight towar

But Caspian was now able to kill even peak of Amethyst Palace Realm Disciples, much less a half-step Amelyst Palace Realm. Caspian stood on the back of the demon scorpion, snorted, and covered it with five fingers. The river of stars fell and exploded. Boom! Endless explosions seemed to blow up a huge hole in the sky. The zombie emperor was instantly swallowed up and exploded into powder. Only the Corpse Core was sucked over by Caspian's finger. The zombie king's Corpse Core was not only full of vigor, but also having a trace of Demon Aura. In other words, the zombie emperor had become a demon.

“Will you take my blood?” Zuba never said anything. She looked into his eyes, and grabbing his chest forcefully, she plunged her fangs gently right into his flesh. “The other one is for love”, she said as she looked the other way. She gave her back to him. She looked away for a moment to wipe away her tears. “And the other one?” he asked She then turned around, facing him again, “The curse of a witch is broken”, she replied. “From now on you will shape shift at will without waiting for the tree days of the full moon”.

So make sure that you don't appear before him or else you will face dire consequences, Luna Doreen informs her. I nod timidly as Luna Doreen excuses herself to attend other important issues pertaining to the upcoming event. I skip home happily after hearing that I'm not supposed to attend the festival. I thank the moon goddess for answering my prayers. As she knows in my heart that i really don't want to meet the Demon. Rumors have it that he's very ruthless and wicked but also very handsome. But all the same ,i don't want to meet him and I'm grateful my prayers have been answered.
