“Ruth — the sample maker — found problems in my drawings I didn’t know were there and fixed them better than I’d have fixed them. And it didn’t feel like being told I was wrong. It felt like being helped to say the thing I was trying to say.” I turned my glass on the table. “I’ve spent four years being corrected to make me smaller. I forgot there’s another kind. The kind that makes the work bigger.” He watched me for a moment. “Show me,” he said. I had brought the sketches without quite deciding whether I would show him. They were in my bag by the door — the three newest, the ones that came after the dress, the direction Sorrel was growing in. Nobody had seen them. Not Helen yet.

So that means getting going now. Having a blank page for a commission, and getting started on it, that’s two different things. After wasting most of my free period staring at a large white rectangle, I give up and start doodling in a sketchpad instead. Sketches of faces, mostly. The Pack. Imogen. Mom. The college staff. My tutor, Mrs Bird, as a Sergeant Major in a feathery rainbow uniform, strutting around bellowing orders. Jade as a crow, teaching crow martial arts to a bunch of baby crows. Mary in a Cinderella ball gown. Reese as a tiger. Tom as a warrior fairy, with dragonfly wings and a silver rapier.

The space shattered with the scream, and everyone watched in amazement as the fragments appeared in the space background. Zelda smiles. She is a child, and she is highly confident and arrogant. Zelda was born a super-soldier vampire, and she is no ordinary vampire. When Zelda was an infant, she communicated with Augustus in the hope of saving her life. Family is the only thing that exists, other things, Zelda doesn't care.

It's just my bed and some of the things I've left in here such as some of my old books, my school projects, my puzzle boxes, and scattered puzzle pieces on my old study table. I sat on the chair and opened the compartment under the table. I was surprised to see the stories I've written when I was in high school as well as my sketchpads where I attempted to nurture my drawing skills even if I really suck in that field. I opened it and chuckled when I saw how gross Pikachu have become in my drawings. There's also a portrait of someone I guess I saw on F******k who is as gorgeous as barbies but in my drawing, she looked like a dying zombie who hasn't devour any human since she has turned into o

I watched as Jade walked up to a door. Why didn't I never know, another room existed inside this big room. I shrugged and looked at the write up in the laptop. He had made a hard copy of how he wanted the design to be like. I read it over and over again trying to make it sink into my memory. Then I took the drawing pen and paper and tried sketching it. Too blurry...... Too thick.... I continued sketching and lost count of the time until I heard the alarm clock beep. What.!!!3:00am
