A silver mask covered the lower half of her face, leaving only her sharp brown eyes. "An honor for the human clan," Zelda repeated, she gestured for them to sit. I knew it was a against a pack rule for a female wolf to know how to fight and fend for herself so the shock on my face seeing her take on Zelda without breaking a sweat was natural. Zelda was my second in command, the best female warrior in our group but she was easily taken down by a wolf from a pack who naturally shouldn't know how to fight. Zelda’s POV I darted through the thick underbrush, my heart pounding in my chest. The moon cast an ethereal glow, guiding my steps as I desperately tried to put distance between myself and Alpha Nathan's men. Fear pulsed through my veins, urging me to run faster, but my body refused to obey. Lexa was a weak and unresponsive wolf, and a constant reminder of my vulnerability.
