Zodiac Signs Stories Novels & Stories

“When I was small, my parents told me stories about moon-blessed children. Pairs of wolves marked by Luna herself for a special purpose.” Zane opens the ancient book, carefully turning brittle pages until he finds what he’s looking for. He spins it around to face us. The illuminated manuscript shows two wolves, one midnight black, one silver, standing beneath a crescent moon. Behind each wolf’s ear is a small, glowing mark identical to the ones Zane and I share.

Tears spring into my wolf eyes. She sits back down, picks up her comb and starst to comb her hair agin. "Let me tell you one of my favourite stories. Once there was a family, a family of great power and wealth. Because that family was from the very beginning of time, their powers were a mystery and many would say that they were the direct offsprings of the Moon Goddess. Do you know who they were?”

Kat POV I had heard the stories of men who turned into beasts on nights where the full moon is high in the sky. Stupid stories filled with tales of curses and blood oaths with the devil, no doubt embellished by the old gypsy fortunetellers who told the tales from the darkness of the alleys in Rome. I had never once thought to believe any of them, filing them away securely as one of the many myths old ladies tell to keep the young girls wary of men.

"I don't remember. It must have hurt though. Like hell." He chuckled but then quickly stopped. "Sorry, I shouldn't be laughing." His cheeks turned red. I shook my head and laughed. "It's alright. It is a bit funny though." Easing, he gave me his million dollar smile. "So about mates. Tell me more." I shuffled and crossed my legs on the couch, stuffing a pillow in my arms before I took his hand and started aiding his arms while beginning the story. "So, you know we believe in the Moon Goddess. Legends say the Moon Goddess couldn't have the love of her life so to bless her children, us, she divided every wolf's soul in two and put it in another being. For them to have the love of their lives.

'Werewolf Mythology : The love story of Lycaon and Lydia'. "You mean Lycaon, the God of Werewolves and Lydia the Noble one? Why would a mythical story be the hint for your vision, besides their supposed love story is just a myth." "You will have to read their story to understand it. My vision included similar situations mentioned in their story. Maybe it's a mythical story which was supposed to happen in the future?" Joan questions. "You mean someone was predicting the future with this myth of a story?" Jade couldn't come to terms with the fact that Joan would believe in such absurd things.

Growing up, at a younger age my mom would tell me her romantic story of how she and dad met. I fell in love with their love story and would beg her to tell me every night before going to bed. I love her story so much that I could not wait to one day be old enough to find my one true mate; that every full moon, I would stare through my bedroom window and watch excitedly wolves and she-wolves being wandered off into the dark, having only the bright light of the full moon to guide them. Seeing them, I was even more anxious to turn eighteen and to too meet my next half. The wolf, the moon goddess has blessed me with to spend my entire life with.

“They tell stories. Lately, most of those stories have the same center. Moonshadow. Luna. The Moon’s Heir. Queen of Elements. High Alpha in all but name.” A muscle in Luna’s jaw tightened. “I did not start those stories,” she said. “No,” Rhia agreed. “You did not. You lived loudly enough that others did. And stories are power. In some ways, more than claws. That is what we are here about.” Soren set his stone down on the map. “We fought Selene to break one chain,” he said. “We are wary of forging another, even if it glitters prettier.” Scar shifted his weight.

“Tell me about Lucius and Caius, the brothers who started it all. I listened attentively as they began to speak, weaving stories passed down through the generations. Every word was a thread and I was determined to weave it into a tapestry of truth that could hopefully grow better between the rift of our packs. The next trial was in two days, but my real challenge had already begun. And I was determined to face it head on, no matter the cost. "Well," Zara began, sitting on the edge of the bed. "The story goes that Lucius and Caius were born under a blood moon..."

As if Capra’s chest had exploded, the floorboards below him even cracked open like a spider’s web. This so-called Capra of the Quintus family’s Twelve Zodiacs was defeated with one punch from Tyr. No words could describe Zayn’s current feelings. As if the light in his world had suddenly extinguished. What… situation was this? Like a wooden post, Zayn was rooted to the spot. His world views had been utterly crushed. That was the Quintus family’s Twelve Zodiac, a top-ranking expert in the entire southern region. It was said that Capra’s claws could slice open metal and rocks, but he didn’t even manage to show Tyr the might of his claws earlier.

We must always be thankful for this day, for it symbolizes the birth of our kind. The story had me enthralled. The hairs along my arms stood on end. I was now a part of this legacy, and would stand by Caleb's side as his Luna — his equal. Just as I had been taught the story of Christ from a young age, the Moon Story was Caleb's religion. I could see the devout faith mirrored in everyone’s eyes. They believed in their Goddess, vehemently. Werewolves existed … so I had no reason to disbelieve that she did too.
