“It’ll start burning if I’m about to say something I shouldn’t.” Gildeon leaned back, drumming his fingers on the table. “There are two kinds of witches,” she explained. “One’s a Hedge Witch, like me. We work with old magic, drawing our power from nature.” She made a twisting motion with her other hand. “Then there’s a Savant Witch. They’ve got a special ability from tapping into cosmic magic through the Dark Plane.”

She couldn't afford to be unprepared, not with so much at stake. In a secluded part of the forest, Zyra stood poised, her eyes closed as she concentrated on summoning her powers. The ground beneath her feet trembled slightly as she tapped into her Lycan strength, feeling the surge of energy course through her veins. She opened her eyes, glowing with an otherworldly light, and took a deep breath. With a swift motion, she leaped into the air, her speed enhanced by her vampiric agility. Landing gracefully, she conjured a small flame in her hand, a manifestation of her witch heritage.

My mother announced in whispers "What did you just say?" I and Lisa chorused, finding it hard to believe My mother's words. "All the witches you see on the day they were killed, The Oracle made a spell that created those dead bodies while their real bodies were taken. He's draining them off their powers into his weapon. Clifford said he's making a powerful weapon that could break this world in half and we would stand no chance with our spells" My mother disclosed silently, "So you're saying that my mother's alive, how would you even think I'll believe you" Lisa retorted as she had her eyes glued to my mother.

Where did that come from? "Our practice is generally limited here, due to the Alpha of the werewolves.", says Rachel leaning closer, in a quiet voice, almost like a whisper. "The most powerful witch in the town is Lord Loucas, he owns the funeral home downtown. He is a bone witch, as most are in his coven. The rest of us are good for fortune telling and some protection spells or jars."

voice I didn’t recognize spoke up. His voice demanding respect without yelling. “Listen up little girl. You don’t make demands here. Now, I’ll ask one more time. Who are you and why are you here?” “FUCK YOU” spat Kiara with an intense growl. “ I don’t know why you entertain these trespassers Kirian. This one clearly is a bloodsucker. She’s already threatened to drain us dry. We need to dispose of her and her wolf friends.” Said a second man’s voice full of disdain. “ First off nobody will do anything unless I say” this time a voice of a woman chimed in. Hmm, that must be the one in charge. “Has anyone tried talking to her male companions?” asked the same voice “ someone fucked up on the dos

He said. “I thought witches didn’t have mates as us wolves do.” I stated matter-of-factly. “Just because we don’t find our mates at eighteen like you do and have some miraculous bond snap into place doesn’t mean that we don’t have soul mates. Many witches are serial monogamists who mate for life just like werewolves. The goddess leads us to them in mysterious ways” he said. “So, are you trying to tell me that Sierra is my mate?” I asked him almost laughing in his face

I spat on his overcoat. “Do you see!” Mathis turned and gestured to the spittle seeping down his shirt. “She’s still possessed by the witch. She told me this one commands her.” He turned on Udora. “What?” Udora blinked in horror. “But I’m not a witch! I don’t command Saria. If anything, she tells me about!” "It’s true!" I cried. Trying to defend her. Mathis gave a whistle that echoed through the corridors and foyer of WitchFall.

Zedicus continued while the rest listened attentively. “Using my mate as a case study, her ancestor was a witch and the generations after her were hybrids including her. That means the witches try to find allies to do their bidding and then dispose of them once they do not need them any longer” Zedicus concluded his theory. There was silence in the room as everybody took in the information given by Zedicus. “So where do you think the ancient witches could be?” Mason asked Zedicus. “I don’t know but, I think we can find out,” Zedicus said, looking at everyone.
