All her senses were locked on the man at the table in front of her. “Maybe I’m more your type.” She fought back another irritated growl, but this time she did turn to the man standing very close to her.

It was kind of odd how calmly I replied to him. “How so?” He asked. “I, well…” I paused to think of how to answer him, but came up short. How was I supposed to explain to this huge rabbit in front of me how I’m human? The question itself seemed absurd. His ears twitched. “Well, if you have powers, then you aren’t a human but a Zonculi.” I look at him with my best poker face expression. “A what?” I asked. Superpowers? Zonculi?

My screams sounded against the chattering and murmuring from the onlookers until I was dragged out from their midst. When we stepped out, Zahir shifted back into his human form and that’s second on the list of the weirdest things I’ve set my eyes on— it involved the sounds of bone cracking and a slow morph into another creature. It’s something I won’t be able to get out of my visual cortex for a long, long time. He was shirtless, and just left with a robe around his waist. He continued to pull me with a rope, less violently than before so this time I was just trailing behind him and it wasn’t painful.

Shirley said. "Truthfully, I have never thought or wished to be a human even for a second and I don't think there will ever be a situation that would make me think otherwise. All those things that you mentioned are positive things and that is what makes us superior to them humans. We have everything they have, but they don't have most of the things we do, to me those lacking are the ones not normal not us who have it all. Having lived all my live as a wolf, the power and everything accompanied with this life, I don't think I can ever choose the human life over this," Zane replied, then he asked her, "what about you? Have you ever wished to be a human?"

Hissing in pain, I swipe at the man’s arm, causing him to release the weapon so that I can grab it in my mouth and throw it aside. Once he is fully disarmed, I bite down on his face and rip, leaving large, gaping wounds on the skin that don’t seem to heal immediately. ‘Humans!' I gasp, my eyes widening in shock. ‘Gray sent humans to do his dirty work.’ ‘I’m not surprised,’ Zane’s voice responds, making me realize that I wasn’t alone in my head. ‘If he sent members of his pack, it would make him look more damning.’ He was right, but I still couldn’t quite believe what was happening. Shouldn’t he have been aware that we could easily take on a group of humans?
