He turned the key, and the collar snapped open and fell to the ground with a heavy sound. Jamal looked down at it, making a face. "These things are just... gross.”

"Remember I told you that collars are earned? Well, baby girl, you have absolutely earned this." Bella removed the collar from the box and looked it over, amazed. It was supple black leather, about an inch wide, with a silver D-ring in the front and a silver buckle closure in the back. She immediately tried it on, struggling briefly with the buckle before getting it fastened. She gazed up at him wide-eyed. "What do you think?" he asked. "I love it, Sir," she whispered. From his pocket, Luke produced a lead made of heavy silver chain with a black leather loop matching the collar. He hooked it to the D-ring and pulled gently. "I think this will work very well, don't you, baby girl?"

Zara muttered, opening the box. She froze and her smile dropped from her face. “No,” she said. “What’s wrong?” I asked, leaning over. There was a piece of jewelry in the box, a necklace. “I am not wearing a collar for you!” Zara snarled, throwing the offending box at Kieran. “It’s not a collar,” he protested. “Looks like one to me,” Zara said. Kieran held the necklace out. It was a wide band of black ribbon with a green stone which I thought would set off her eyes nicely. It was nothing like the dog collar Kieran had made her wear previously, although it would fit her throat the same way.

Red said wearily. I sighed. “But, for now, I need to. It’s not about me. There’s other people involved in this - this is all much bigger than just me. So yes, whether I LIKE it or not, I need you to put the stupid collar back on me. It dropped off of him and he caught it, then I turned my back to him and lifted my hair so he could slide the hated thing around my neck.

Zurig looked at Troy and he was frowning at my neck. “No one came to take it off last night?” Troy asked shocked and I shook my head no. I noticed the blond toy whispering something to someone with a smile of joy on her face. Oh, she probably had something to do with this not getting off. Zurig growled, causing the toys to jump in fright again. Troy walked over with his son who got the materials to get the collar off with him. A human appeared from the shadows and quickly took the collar away. Urg, my neck is sore and raw. I will need to go see the damage that has been done to it later.
