LOST AND FOUND
But a faint shimmer hung in the air — like the trace of a soul that refused to vanish.
It drifted toward him, coiling faintly around his wrist before dissolving.
He closed his eyes, trembling.
“Then show me the way,” he whispered. “If you’re still out there, show me.”
The ground beneath him shifted. The light — the real light this time — gathered in a thin line that cut across the horizon, leading deeper into the wasteland.

He stood slowly, his limbs unsteady but his resolve firm. The air smelled again of pine and rain — faint but alive. The echoes were quieter now, more distant, but still there, threading through the wind.
