Before I could run away from him, he pinned me down with his body to the bed and put one of his hands over my mouth and another one keeping both of my hands from hitting him. "First of all, you are my slave. My property. I have all the right to touch you anyway I want. Second of all, don't ever dare to talk to me like that ever again!" He growled. "I don't care if your mother is dead. Now you are here with me and i'm keeping you!"

Then he reached over and casually rested a hand on the back of Soren’s neck in a possessive and visible way, impossible to ignore. Soren stiffened but didn’t pull away. “Tell them whatever keeps the league off our backs,” JR said. “But Soren’s mine to handle. That part isn’t negotiable.” The room went dead silent. Soren’s heart hammered. He turned his head slowly to look at JR. “What the fuck are you doing?” he whispered. JR’s fingers tightened slightly on his neck. His voice was low enough that only Soren could hear. “Making sure they know the deal isn’t up for discussion anymore.”
