As Jasmine removed her glasses, Mia noticed how swollen and bloodshot her eyes were from crying. She poured a glass of water for Jasmine. "What exactly happened?"

She scratched her body with her closed eyes, hit her hand on the side table, and took out two to three tissue papers from the tissue box. She started cleaning her running nose, which by now was making her feel wet and damp. Unwillingly, she sat up on her bed facing the wall. Her head hung low, and her hair fell in her face as it usually did. She tried to open her eyes with great difficulty. Her eyes were still watery and puffy, due to which she felt exhausted and struggled to keep them open.

It was blurry because of the tears in my eyes but I squeezed my eyes dry and looked clearly. . . . .......

I looked up to meet Jordan's sight. I made a half smile then scratched my cheek. "Why are you crying, Amber? Any problem?" he asked again. I rubbed my eyes and jotted my bottom lip down. "My eyes have dust inside, so itchy," I lied. Lily on my side gave me a wink. He drew near me then scanned my face and eyes. I crossed my finger at my back, wishing him to be convinced. My lips instantly curved when he cupped my face.

Hadley My shoulders are tight and my eyes sting when I close them. My fingers curve into my palms as I resist the urge to rub them. I've been told it's the worst thing I can do, but God it feels so good. I need some of those liquid tears, or whatever, the eye doctor keeps telling me about. I'm pretty sure those things are made out of unicorn tears, though, because of how much my copay is for them. When they told me the price, I said forget it, but damn my eyes hurt. Maybe after the sale I'm having for Halloween I'll be able to afford them, but until then I'm stuck with pushing through. Story of my life for the past few years.

*Amber* When I wake up, I find Tjeck perched on the edge of my bed, his presence both a comfort and a weight in the air. I felt the first drop escape my eyelids but it didn't feel like the usual runny feel of tears. It was thicker and smelt like…. Blood.

I let out and ran away from the area. Locking the door of the washroom I cried until my eyes ran out of the tears. After crying my heart out to its satisfaction I walk out of the loo and stood before the row of the sinks. I cleaned my face and adjust my look. My two braids are now a bit messy due to slaps. Wiping my face I looked at my appearance in the mirror. My face is all red, especially my cheeks. They are hurting badly. Due to crying my eyes are red and itchy, not only that my head is also aching. I need rest!

I turned on the tap, splashing water onto my face repeatedly to wash away the tears that would not stop falling. Why am I crying? Was the song too sad? No, that is not it. Jealousy. Is it because he was singing for the girl he loves? No, definitely not. Pain. There is a vague sense of pain. I shook my head, trying to clear away all my troubles while splashing more water on my face to regain my senses. Ten or fifteen minutes later, I turned off the faucet and looked up to see my face dripping wet. It seemed the tears had finally stopped flowing. My eyes only felt slightly stung because I had accidentally splashed too much water.

My knees were scraped and bleeding beneath the expensive ivory coat. “Great, just great,” I muttered, limping toward the door. “You better not leave a scar.” I followed him into the silent mansion. Then tears started getting to my eyes. “No.. This is nothing compared to the past” I will not cry.
