“I’m sure you haven’t come here to discuss my name, Rachel. Tell me, what did you see?”
“I came here? No, that’s not it. You’re the one who called me.” I denied, shaking my head. I glanced back to the massive lake and marveled momentarily at the mountains in the distance. They were huge, so tall I couldn’t make out the top through the thick cloud bank. I briefly wondered if most mountains were this tall, or if the entire scene before me was some concocted illusion. I forced myself to remain patient and answered the Game Master. “The deer drank from the lake, and they changed. From first glance, I’d say the deer took some of the magic from the lake.”
