  The silence in the room was deafening, despite the fact that both people in the room had so much to say to each other. The situation made Rebecca uncomfortable.   Before her knees could touch the ground, she stood on her feet and turned. Relief washed over her when she saw Axel walking towards her, with Trent beside him.“Good that you are here, Axel.” Fernando said. Axel walked past Kira and stopped when he got close to Fernando.   She started hearing footsteps outside the door and instead of locking the door as Kira had instructed, she walked out of the room. She didn’t want to be inside, she wanted to see what was happening. What if they were leaving her behind? Everyone was running towards the other direction and no one spared her a stare.   “Survive! Survive! Survive!” She continued running, fighting the urge to look back and check if the men were closer to her. She had never ran so fast in her entire life. She was out of breath, but she knew if she stopped running now she would be out of breath forever. As soon as she got to the gate, she banged on it like her life depended on it, cause it really did.“Please… somebody please, open the gate!” She begged in tears, hoping they were men at the other side of the gate, as it was raining. When she turned, she found the men extremely closer to her. She shut her eyes in defeat, waiting for the worse to happen, but fortunately, the gate opened and she fell inside, her elbows and knees scraping the floor.   Axel stood in front of more than twenty people, all waiting for him to speak up and address them. Beside him stood Kira who had a confused look on her face while he hadn’t said anything since the past five minutes. She cleared her throat, serving as a reminder but he still didn’t say a word. He had his gaze focused on a particular direction in the crowd and no one knew what was on his mind. Kira leaned closer to his shoulder. “Boss. They’re waiting.” She whispered. Axel’s lips parted but no words came out. His eyes moved around the hall and when he spotted Trent seated at the corner of the hall, he let out a deep breath. He glanced at Kira. “Do it.” He instructed.“Oh-okay boss.” She lowered her head to the floor. Axel walked away and when he got to where Trent was seated, he tapped his shoulder. “Come with me.”****** It was windy outside, like it was about to rain.
