14.

“The handing over ceremony will be held tomorrow. Do you have any speeches to make, or do you want to announce the fact that you will be getting married to Ms. Salvador soon?” Seth asked Aiden, who swayed from left to right on his chair.

“Announcing to the whole world that I'm about to get married to her is a childish thing to do, Seth, don't you think?” he asked, hinting on something, and Seth was able to grab what he wanted to say.

He laughed nervously and rubbed the back of his head. “If that's the case, then do you want to make a speech? Mr. Salvador personally requested you say something. Are you going to turn him down?”

“Why would I turn down my future father-in-law?” he smirked. “Sure, I'll give a speech. After all, my wife is about to become the CEO of Salvador's company. I should give her my support at least,” he muttered and stood to his feet. Seth looked at him, his expression curious.

“Where are you going?”

Aiden knitted his brows. “Isn't it obvious? I'm going to see Samantha. I should at least give her some words of encouragement before tomorrow night.” he smirked, picked up his car keys and started heading out.

Seth, who knew Samantha would be annoyed to see Aiden, ran after him. “But sir, you have a meeting with the board of directors by 12pm.”

Aiden stopped in his tracks and turned around, a hint of annoyance in his voice. “Reschedule it, Seth. This is more important. I need to see Samantha before tomorrow night.”

Seth nodded, knowing better than to argue with Aiden when he had made up his mind. “Okay, sir. I'll reschedule the meeting. But please, be careful. Samantha doesn't look like she likes seeing you.”

Aiden chuckled and patted Seth on the back. “Don't worry, I can handle her. I'm her fiancé, after all.” With that, he walked out of the office, leaving Seth to wonder what Aiden was getting himself into.

Aiden arrived at the Salvador mansion, knowing Samantha was likely to be preparing for the upcoming ceremony. He walked in, greeted by the familiar opulence of the foyer. Linda, who was still busy working on getting Samantha's gown delivered, gasped on seeing him.

“Mr. Callymore, what a surprise. Please come and have a seat.” she gave him a slight bow.

“Is Samantha in?” he asked, ignoring her kind gesture.

“Yes, Samantha is in her room, going over some papers. I can go call her for you if you want.”

“No need for that. Just take me to her room.” he requested.

Linda nodded. “Right this way,” she gestured for him to follow her and he did. When they got to the door leading to Samantha's room, Linda smiled at him and walked away.

He placed a soft knock on the door. “Come in,” her voice came from inside, and he opened the door slowly. He walked into the room, where Samantha sat on a couch, surrounded by documents and notes. Her expression was intense, her brow furrowed in concentration. He smiled at how cute she looked.

“Linda, don't tell you've already placed an order for that gown and are back to disturb me,” she spoke up, expecting a response, but she got nothing. She paused what she was doing as a familiar male cologne hit her nostrils.

She looked up, her eyes narrowing slightly. “Aiden? What are you doing here and how in God's name did you get into my room?” she asked, her tone firm but not unkind.

Aiden approached her, his hands in his pockets. “I knocked, you answered, and I came in.” he answered, his tone teasing.

Samantha frowned. “You know what I mean. What are you doing here?”

Aiden smiled, his eyes locked on hers. “I came to see you, Samantha. I wanted to offer my support before tomorrow night. You're going to do great, you know that?”

Samantha raised an eyebrow, her expression unyielding. “I don't need your encouragement, Aiden. I can handle this on my own.”

Aiden chuckled, his eyes never leaving hers. “I know you can, Samantha. But I want to be here for you. I would like to support you, as your partner. Isn't that how it's supposed to be?”

Samantha snorted, her expression unimpressed. “You would like to support me? You're the last person I need support from, Aiden,” she blurted out, and he couldn't help but laugh.

“What's funny?” she folded her arms with a frown on her face.

Aiden didn't want to boast about anything, so he just shook his head and decided to be calm with her. “Samantha, we're getting married soon. We need to work together if we want this to work out.”

Samantha laughed, her eyes glinting with amusement. “You really are something else, Aiden. You think a piece of paper and a ring is going to change everything? You're wrong. I'm still the same person, and I won't let anyone, including you, get in my way. I was busy before you came in, can you leave now?”

“I'll leave when I feel like it. I came to see you, and you're chasing me away already. You didn't even give me a seat or even water. Where are your manners?” he shook his head and looked around, while Samantha just glared at him.

Her eyes suddenly went to a hanger in her room where she had placed her bra and panties. She had wanted to put them away, but had to do something urgently and had forgotten.

Her face suddenly flushed, and she prayed earnestly for Aiden's eyes not to go there. It seemed the universe was not on her side as Aiden took a seat on the second couch that was facing directly to the hanger.

She quickly stood up and rushed to stand in front of him. Aiden looked at her, confusion etched into his features.

“What's going on?” he got a hint that there must be something she was hiding, and her expression gave her away as well.

“Nothing. I just want you to leave.” she answered immediately.

Aiden saw how red her face was and massaged his temple as his eyes narrowed. “What is making you blush so hard?” he wanted to look, but she blocked his gaze with her body.

Whatever direction he turned his head, she would block it. Aiden wanted to stand up, but she unconsciously rushed and pinned him back to the couch, sitting on his lap in the process.

Samantha's face was burning with embarrassment as she tried to hold Aiden down, her hands on his shoulders. “Aiden, please just leave! You're making me uncomfortable!” she hissed, her voice low and urgent. She hadn't even realized what she was doing.

Aiden chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. “You're an inpatient one, aren't you?”

Her eyes snapped open, and it widened when she realized what she was doing. Aiden smirked at her expression. She wanted to get up, but he held her in place. “What are you doing? Let me go!” she demanded, her voice firm, and her heart beating rapidly.

Aiden's smirk widened. He leaned in and whispered into her ears. “What if I don't? Are you going to take my clothes off?”

33.SULLIVAN GROUP"That little girl! Who does she think she is to order us around and act like our ideas are insignificant?" Will snapped, banging his hand on the desk. After the meeting, they had come to speak with Mr. Sullivan, who had already seen the news. Reporters had stormed outside Salvador's group building and interviewed Samantha. She told them she was changing the model, but didn't disclose what it was going to be.The news already went viral and literally everyone had seen it. They were curious to know what she wanted to do since she was new. Everyone knew the kind of models Salvador Group used, but had no idea what Samantha was going to do. They only guessed and waited for the day.Mr. Sullivan massaged his forehead. "She just came and is already giving us a headache. I think we need to step up our game. If her model makes sense and is accepted in Detroit, her stocks will increase, not to mention doors with new business deals will be opened and she will become more power

32.The whole place went silent immediately those words left Samantha's lips. “I don't know why you find everything I do wrong and tend to complain a lot, but I am the CEO, and have the right to change whatever I want. This is my company, and its success or failures starts with me. I am not ready to settle for less, I hope you can understand that, Director Will,” she said, her voice calm and collected, but her tone was authoritative, and they all got the message she was trying to pass across. They knew she was trying to ask them not to test her patience or cross her. She wasn't going to allow any of them to trample on her.Her glare handed. “Do you understand, Director Will?” she asked again, her voice firm.“Yes.” Will answered and took a seat. She nodded and looked at everyone seated in the room. “Does anybody have anything else to say?” she asked, but they shook their heads. “Does this mean we can give the new model and design a chance?” she asked, her voice returning to its normal

31.Aiden was seated in the conference room, his face glued to the door as he waited for Samantha to come. He had tried calling her, but her number was not reachable. He didn't have Linda's number else he would have called her as well.He wondered what could be keeping her, and if she was okay. “What is keeping her so long? Has she no idea that the meeting can't start without her?” Mr. Will snorted, his expression stern as he turned to look at the other directors to be sure they agreed with him.“You're right, Director Will. One thing I hate is tardiness. I thought she wasn't someone of this sort, but I'm beginning to take my words back.” Another one spoke up, and the rest nodded their heads in agreement.Aiden didn't answer them or say a word to them. He simply sat down with a plain expression on his face. Director Will, happy that the other directors weren't pleased, turned to look at Aiden. Since he saw that Aiden didn't look happy or sad, he decided to speak up, maybe Aiden wasn'

30.Samantha stormed into her room and flung her handbag on the bed. She wondered why he was always acting like a saint when all men were the same. As far as Nathan could break her after all the love and affection he showed her, she had no doubt Aiden would do the same, and she was guarding herself from him and his lies.“Don't you think you were too hard on him?” Linda asked as she walked into the room.Samantha turned to her. “What are you talking about? Did you hear us?” she asked.“I didn't hear, but I saw how you slammed the door and walked off, and I know how your anger can be, Samantha.” Linda folded her arms, taking a seat on the couch in the room.“I wasn't hard on him. I just had to put him in his place. He keeps acting as if he is different from other men!” Samantha facepalmed and slumped on the bed, releasing a heavy sigh.“What if he is different?” Linda asked.Samantha quickly sat up with a frown. “No, he is not. If Nathan can do it, so can he.”“You don't have to judge

29.After Mia walked out, Samantha soaked her handkerchief into the water and used it to wipe her gown, but the stains were still there since her gown was white in color. She ran her hands through her hair, not knowing what else to do. She wondered why Aiden's cousin would be this mean. It wasn't like she was even interested in the guy, so why was the lady all worked up?With a sigh, she walked out of the bathroom, trying her best to ignore the stains on her cloth. Her intention was to just go there and tell Aiden that she no longer wanted to have dinner. When she got there, Aiden's eyes went to her clothes. “Sam, your clothes are still stained.”“Yeah, I know,” she tucked a strand of hair behind her ears.“I'm so sorry, Sammy, I had no idea my clumsiness would be this…” Mia trailed off and sighed, giving Samantha an innocent expression. “I'm so sorry. Please don't be mad.” she pleaded, and Samantha couldn't believe this lady. She was acting like some sort of angel in Aiden's presenc

28.Aiden tapped his feet on the floor numerous times as he awaited Samantha's reply to his invite. He would glance at his phone every second and Seth just sat, watching him."No reply yet?" Seth asked."It's been fifteen minutes. What's taking her so long? She read it and refused to say anything." he ruffled his hair."Be patient. Maybe she tapped on the message by mistake and hasn't glanced at her phone to see it." he tried to comfort Aiden, who just looked away. After two minutes, he stood to his feet. "If she isn't going to reply to my text, I'll just have to meet her face to face and get the answer out of her." Just as he was about to take a step, his phone beeped. He quickly checked it and his face lit up at her reply "She said yes!" he exclaimed happily, did a dance and turned around, walking out of the office with the car keys twirling in his hand.Seth wondered if it was a proposal because how can a man like Aiden be so happy because a lady accepted his invite to a dinner da
