First day of Work
After stepping out of the car, I calmly stood in front of the mansion while taking a big breath. Quite to the astonishment of Aunt Rabiya and Shamcey, the driver of Boss Convocar came and picked me up directly at our house. Who am I to be picked up, right? I am nothing more than a lowly nanny. In the midst of my preparations for going inside, my attention was drawn to the parking lot where Boss Convocar's vehicles were parked. Now, however, I am struggling to track down the black car that I saw when I came here. A frown formed on my forehead. Is it possible that I was only hallucinating? It is impossible for me to be mistaken, because I was still staring carefully at his vehicles on the day that Shamcey and I showed up here. I'm almost going crazy just thinking about it. "My best wishes are with you on your first day of work, ma'am." The sound of someone talking next to me joined me in the middle of the world of my thoughts. It was Boss Convocar's driver who had picked me up right at Aunt Rabiya's house. “Hey, I appreciate it! However,..." I gave her a murderous look. "… I'm like Madame whenever you call me 'Ma'am," I said with laughter. Then I introduced myself by saying, "Just call me Heidi." "I'm Werson, Ms. Heidi," he said as he introduced himself. "Mr. Werson, it is a pleasure to meet you. I am the new nanny for the daughter of Boss Convocar." An uneasy smile appeared on his face, and I was unable to determine the reason for it. On top of that, he scratched the top of his head. "Oh, new again." "Would you mind, Mr. Werson? How come? Is something wrong?" I asked, looking puzzled. "Actually," he started off by saying. After taking a look around, he moved closer to me and replied, "They've changed nannies for that child just several times." I just can't stand how naughty and stubborn that child was. No nanny can calm that kid down. The reason for this is that the old nanny is always the one who takes the job. You may be the only one who decides to quit that job, I'm telling you." Apart from the fact that the child is naughty, Boss Convocar is also a very strict person. If his employee commits even a minor error, he instantly fires them from their job. As I gulped, my eyes opened in horror. I was taken aback by the information that I discovered, and my entire being started trembling. When we heard someone clearing the throat, Mr. Werson and I were both on the verge of going into a panic. We gazed at each other in the same way. My head swiftly shifted to the direction from where the voice was coming. "Good morning," Ms. Amanda greeted as she showed up. "G-Good morning, Ms. Amanda!" Mr. Werson and I greeted her, both stuttering. "So, Heidi, are you ready?" At that moment, she was concentrating her attention on me. As she examined me carefully, she even adjusted with her eyeglasses. I smiled with a weird smile. "Y-Yes," I responded. I tried to rid myself of the anxiousness that I became aware of after hearing Mr. Werson's words by motivating myself mentally. Every job is challenging. Nothing comes easily. One thing I need to do is give it everything I've got. For me, being fired just shows that this position is not a good fit for me. "Shall we?" Putting her hand in the air, she asked me while doing so. I gave a simple nod. After that, I followed her as we made our way on foot towards the mansion. I simply gave Mr. Werson a wave as a way of saying goodbye. He merely gestured for me to carry out my job very well. As soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was entirely peaceful. I was only able to hear the sound of the air conditioner inside the house. I suppose I was on the verge of losing my hearing. "Heidi," she was calling me. "The name of the child is Beatrice," she stated. My happiness was a mystery to me, but I couldn't even begin to explain it. Due to the fact that that was one of my most favorite names. "The daughter of Boss Convocar is probably still sleeping at this very moment." Taking a look at the watch on her wrist, "It is usual for the child to wake up about eight o'clock in the morning. The breakfast that she needs to eat must be prepared by you before eight o'clock. In the morning, she never eats anything other than hotcake with Nutella and hot chocolate milk," she remarked. "With that in mind, Ms. Heidi, you should get your work done. Because it is possible that it could be lost at any point, depending on the mood that Boss is in. Or perhaps you should just not have too high of expectations for this job," he reminded me. When we heard someone's voice, Mr. Werson and I were on our way to go into a panic. We gazed at each other in the same way. I moved my head quickly in the direction of where that voice was. "Good morning," Ms. Amanda greeted us. "G-Good morning, Ms. Amanda!" Mr. Werson and I greeted at the same time, still stammering. "So, Heidi, are you all set?" I was the subject of her attention at this moment. She even adjusted her glasses while looking at me. I smiled with a weird smile. "Y-Yes," I responded. I tried to rid myself of the anxiousness that I became aware of after hearing Mr. Werson's words by motivating myself mentally. Every job is challenging. Nothing comes effortlessly. One thing I need to do is give it everything I've got. For me, being fired just shows that this position is not a good fit for me. "Shall we?" The breakfast that she needs to eat must be prepared by you before eight o'clock. In the morning, she never eats anything other than hotcakes with Nutella and hot chocolate milk," she remarked. It is my firm belief that the child who will be under my care will be able to get along with me. Not to mention the fact that her breakfast is also one of my favorite things to eat upon waking in the morning. "Understood, Ms. Amanda." "Hmm, allow me to make some adjustments to your uniform." I was surprised when she came over to me and fixed my collar on her own. "The size of your uniform is just right for you. "He really knows your size," she added. The things that I heard caused me to frown. "Uhm, I'm sorry, but who knows my size?" I asked about it. "Uh, our seamstress," she stutteringly managed to say. "Where is Anj?" The conversation shifted to a different topic. The way she looked around suggested that she was looking for someone. "Is it Boss Convocar?" I inquired about it. "At this moment, he is elsewhere. "So you may learn for your work without feeling overwhelmed," she said. Once more, she glanced at the watch on her wrist. "Alright, Heidi, I'll go ahead now." I reached out and grabbed her arm just as she was about to leave. "Miss Amanda, please wait. Please wait, please wait. Who is going to guide me as I’m working?" After coming to that realization, I quickly let go of my hold on her. "Oh, I'm really sorry." Then I scratched my head and faked a chuckle. "I forgot," I said. "The elderly nanny has arrived at this time. However, I am no longer able to devote time to looking for her. At this very moment, I am going to send her a message to let her know that you are here. She will be the one to instruct you on what to do while you take on your duties." The only option I had was to simply nod, despite the fact that I was feeling anxious. "And there is one thing that I want you to keep in mind," she added. "The cleanliness of the utensils must be maintained at all times. There is sensitivity in Mr. Convocar. In the same way that Mr. Werson had told you, Boss Convocar can quickly fire an employee if he isn't happy with their job," she continued. What Mr. Werson had said to me earlier had reached her ears. "So keep that in mind as well, okay?" she said. "Oh, I see. " I gave a slight nod. With a sense of excitement, I stated, "I will keep that in mind, and I will make sure that the work gets done perfectly." I am aware of how proficient I am at working. And I have the impression that I am able to achieve the standard of cleanliness that Boss Convocar wants. I inhaled deeply and turned my attention to her. "There is no need to be worried, Miss Amanda. I promise that I will not disappoint you. I promised that I would give it everything I had," I said. That would put her mind at ease. Upon hearing it, she beamed a smile. "I admired the confidence that you showed. I really hope that you are the one who survives in the role of nanny. Since I am being completely honest, I am sick and tired of searching for a new nanny for Boss Convocar's daughter." She took another glance at the watch that she wore on her wrist. Additionally, she looked at her phone, which displayed an overwhelming number of notifications for her. While she was looking at me, she let out a deep sigh. My arm was held by her. "I really apologize, Ms. Sanson. I will have to return to the office at this time. Please don't hesitate to send me a message if you have any questions you'd like answered. Is that okay?" I gave a slight nod. Again, I will be keeping this in mind, Ms. Amanda. Thank you very much!" "No worries. Goodbye!" After bidding farewell, she hurriedly exited the room. "Goodbye!" At this point, I am the only person who is still present in this house. Is Beatrice's former nanny still around? Because this house is so huge, I no longer have the time to search for her after she gone away. There is a possibility that the child will awaken while I am still in the middle of seeking her. My right foot was repeatedly stamped by me as I felt anxious. My behavior is like that when I'm feeling anxious. How can I possibly know what my job will be if I feel like a child who has been dumped in a place that I do not know? I took a glance at the time that was shown on my wrist. It is about eight o'clock in the morning. Because I need to wake up the kid, I need to go to her room. That's exactly what I meant. I had to rouse her from sleeping. That is the first thing on my list of tasks to do. After then, I will carry out the instructions that Ms. Amanda gave me earlier. It is necessary for me to first introduce myself and earn the child's affection. Therefore, I made my way to the second story by slowly ascending the glass staircase. Undoubtedly, I needed to exercise caution. It's possible that I'll break it. There is no doubt that this glass staircase is worth millions of money. Upon reaching the second floor, I was somewhat perplexed when I noticed that there were six doors throughout the hallway. How would I be able to determine the location of the child's room? Although it would make me look foolish, the only way I could think of was to open the door to each room and have a glance inside. I did so without delay in the very first room. Even though there was a huge bed in the room, it appeared to be clean and vacant. Therefore, I proceeded to open the second room. Nevertheless, the same thing took place. After that, I proceeded to the third and fourth rooms. On the other hand, exactly like the first room I opened, it was clean and unoccupied. I believe it was a room reserved for guests. Currently, I was standing in front of the fifth room. I had no idea, but it seemed as though I was completely seized with nervousness. mostly because of the fact that it could be the daughter of the boss I was taking care of or the room of the father of the person I was taking care of. But what should we do now? First of all, my boss is not here now. Second, I will not be entering. I'll go to check out if this is the room that belongs to Beatrice, the child that I am caring for. Before putting my hand on the doorknob, I ensured that I had taken a big breath. I was on the point of turning it on when I heard someone whistle loudly at me. I was so shocked that I nearly gave out from shock. "Sssst! What exactly are you doing?" The woman who appeared to be interrogating me caught my attention for a moment. The blue outfit that she was wearing was identical to the one that I am currently wearing. On the other hand, it was a different color. Mostly due to the fact that her outfit was blue and mine was a baby pink color. Probably she was the former nanny that Ms. Amanda had been referring to earlier in the conversation. "Please pardon me. "Good morning, my name is Heidi, and I am Beatrice's new nanny," I introduced myself. Despite the fact that I flashed her a warm grin, she only glared at me. Does she have a miserable mood this morning?! "Beatrice's room is located here," she informed me. She did not point it out. On the other hand, given that she was standing right there in the sixth room, it was already understandable that the room I am looking for is the 6th door. Her well-manicured nails were the first thing that attracted my attention. She was even wiping the excess color from her nails. Please don't tell me that she was cleaning her nails in the room where the child was sleeping?! She looked at me with a raised eyebrow. "Did you not comprehend what Amanda provided with you regarding the exact spot of the room that belonged to the person that you are going to take care of? Or is your mind completely empty of any thoughts?" Once more, she cast an eyebrow in my direction. Although she was shaking her head, she gave a tsk three times. "She is hiring new nannies to replace me, but they are completely useless," she remarked. When she stated that, I was on the verge of going into shock. Just by talking to me, you'd believe she was the company's heir—and we haven't even met yet. How rude. Despite the fact that I did not come from a wealthy home, I am still given the ability to appreciate other people. I let out a cough. I attempted to bring myself back to a state of serenity. I gave a shrug and explained the reason why. "Ms. Amanda did not tell me where the child that I am caring for resides in her room because she was in a hurry. To tell you the truth, she is looking for you." She simply walked past me without responding to what I was saying. Then I followed her. She declared, "Beatrice is not actually in her room at this time." While she proceeded with her walk. She stated that her stepmother had picked her up at seven o'clock in the morning. Stepmother? The child already has a stepmother? Then, Boss Convocar has already been taken. She gave the order, "Tell Amanda that when she asks you," and she meant it. "I am too busy to return her call right now." It sounded like she was in charge. Who exactly was she? For that matter, who was she to simply refer to Ms. Amanda as Amanda? Is that how close they are? "Have you heard?" she asked. She came to a stop and turned her back to me. "Y-Yes, I am," I responded. "Are you familiar with how to make use of the most modern kitchen appliances?" She questioned, maintaining her demanding tone. I looked in her direction. It wasn't until just now that I realized we were in the kitchen area at this moment. "Yes, I know how." "How trustworthy are you? Her eyebrows were raised once more in my direction. "Everything that you see in this room is more expensive than your life. So just make sure," she said. I responded with a chuckle, "On top of that, I graduated with a degree in Hospitality Management. That is the reason why I am knowledgeable—" "I just want to know whether you are aware of this. I am not asking about whether or not you have finished your college education." She expressed her anger by saying, "You are going to really belittle me." "Oh, no. It's only that I'm saying—" "Whatever," she interrupted me in a manner that was disrespectful. "Boss Convocar is on his way. "Get him something to eat," she ordered me to do. When I saw her order, I grimaced. "Ms. Anj, right?" I inquired of her. But she did nothing but stare at me. My apologies, but the position that I applied for here is a nanny, as far as I am aware. I continued by saying, "I am not a cook." She gave me a harsh look. As if I had committed a serious offense against her. "Are you good at talking back, considering you're just a newbie?" Her sigh of amazement was audible. "Okay?" As I look down at her toes, I stare at her eyes with an intimidating look. "However, isn't it ironic?" I gazed intently right into her eyes. "You are not my boss, but you have the right to order me around impolitely?" Her gaze shifted away. "The child is not here," she insisted persistently. "While the child is away, what are you going to do with your time? What exactly are you planning to do? Are you just going to sit there and accomplish absolutely nothing to do? You're such a d*mbass!” The very last thing that she said caused me to inhale deeply. After all, to the best of my knowledge, our position in this house is not even close to being exactly the same. It is true that she was the child's nanny in the past. However, that happened a while before. As of right now, I am the new nanny, and she is not. She will only act as a guide for me. In all honesty, she just thanked me since I am in desperate need of this job. That is why I am not in the mood to match her ridiculously rude attitude. "What are you up to here anyway? Put that stovetop on!" It was a harsh order from her. "I didn't bother to glance at her because I was too busy. Because it is possible that I will not be able to precisely measure my capacity for outrage and end up punching her face when I turn to face her and glimpse her face. This is the reason why I went straight to the refrigerator with two doors so as to begin searching for something to cook to make. "Can you hurry up, huh? You move at such a snail's pace!" "I hope many bees bite your mouth that looks like a chicken's butt," I murmured. Is this what I am talking about. If I can restrain my hand from smashing her face—but not my mouth. "What did you say?!" I found chicken flesh and bell pepper in the freezer while I was busy searching for something else. It was also the tomato sauce that attracted my attention, as it was placed right close to the carrots. "I said, no green peas here." With the chicken flesh, carrots, potatoes, onions, and garlic in my hands, I rose up from bowing and faced her. I was holding all of those things. "Since you gave me the order to cook, would it be possible for you to go to the supermarket and buy the ingredients that I am going to use in the meals that I am going to cook? It seems as though you have nothing to do, does it? Just as you said, Beatrice is not here." In a furious way, she pointed her index finger in my face. "You—" "Are you trying to tell me something, Ms. Anj?" I cut it. I gave her a sarcastic smile and smiled at her. "Isn't Boss Convocar on his way home?" How will I respond when he wants to know as to the reason why I haven't yet finished the meal preparation process? As I got closer to her, I made a mocking face at her and pouted down. "Shall I say that you didn't help me?" I gazed at her in a playful way. She was about to react, but she ended up leaving in a fit of rage instead. "Ms. Anj, you should really hurry up, okay?" I teased, trying to follow up on what I had said. Before quickly heading out, she simply gave me an annoyed look and then left. Although I might look to be a gentle sheep, I am capable of fighting back in an ethical way. I couldn't help but grin and shook my head as I prepared to start cleaning the vegetables. I began by frying the chicken while simultaneously slicing the vegetables that I am going to use. It was a relief to discover that there were hotdogs in the freezer. If this had not been the case, I would have sent Ms. Anj back to the market again just to buy the hotdogs, which were the one thing of the dish that I was making that was missing. By the time Ms. Anj came, thirty minutes had already passed. When I saw the way she looked, I was so straining to hold back my laughing that I nearly passed out trying to do so. She had almost completely soaked herself in her own sweat. There was already a temperature of 35 degrees Celsius this morning. If I give her an order at lunchtime, when the sun is at its hottest, what will happen? I gave a slight shake of my head. I won't go that far, that's for sure. The Philippines are already experiencing the very start of summer. During the time that I was patiently waiting for my food to boil, Ms. Anj examined what I was doing. Every single one of the sachet wrappers that I used for cooking was found in the garbage pail. "Hey, what did you put into the rice? Isn't it poison?!" Through the use of tongs, she took the leaf that I placed on top of the rice and showed it to me. The lines on my brow deepened as I glanced at her. "Ms. Anj, you are not familiar with the leaves of the pandan?" It was my question. "It enhances the aroma and flavor of the rice. When I cook rice, I always make sure to include pandan leaves." You are someone who really likes deciding things on your own. You don't even know if Boss Convocar will like it. You have no knowledge." She smirked as she used her green fan to fan herself while she was doing so. She made a threat, saying, "Anyway, I won't be the one getting fired later." "Ms. Anj, may I ask?" "What?!" "Please don't take offense, but would you mind moving away from what I'm cooking? You might end up putting your sweat on what I'm cooking," I said. "And... " I took a deep breath in with a frown, as if I were smelling something unpleasant. I even moved closer to her in order to get a better whiff of her. "Ms. Anj, you have such an awful smell," I told her without any hesitation. However, this is a fact. As soon as I covered my nose with my palm, she gave me a wicked look. Due to her dissatisfaction, she also sniffed herself. Given her reaction after smelling herself, I am able to say that she is in agreed with what I have said. "I told you, Ms. Anj. What if you give yourself a shower first? I won't inform Boss Convocar that you took a shower while you were on duty, so don't worry about it." At this point, I even pretended that I was trying to keep my mouth shut. "I promised," I annoyed her as I smiled at her. As she left, she did not utter a single word. Due to the fact that she smelled so nasty, I believe that she actually took a shower. It's also a good thing since it gives me the chance to work properly in the kitchen without anyone acting like my superiors. The only thing she did was keep shouting bad things at me, rather than offering any assistance. At this moment, I am by myself, waiting for my dish to come to a boil. My eyes are drawn to the interior design of the house, and I can't help but stare at it. It is really pleasing to the eyes that the entire house has been designed in this way. Costs a pretty penny. I have high hopes that I will be able to continue working here. This is the only job that can help me reclaim Mama's house. And there is no need for me to be worried because I am confident that I work in an organized way even when no one watches me. To be able to stay any longer, I merely need to put in a lot of effort. That is, unless my boss is very cruel. If this is the case, there is nothing I can do about it. I choose to close my eyes and take a few deep breaths. That's all I need. I am ready. I am prepared to take on the next challenge in my career. To my mother... I then let out an intense breath, coupled with the nervousness that was buried deep within my heart. My eyes were opened by a remarkable and powerful force that would inspire me to put in more effort in order to achieve the goals that God had set for me. It is impossible for God to bestow something upon me without a specific cause. It's possible that I'm having this experience in order to get a little knowledge. It's possible that I'm here for a reason that I am unaware of just now. In the meanwhile, I have to just go with the flow. I did a taste test on my food after opening the cover of the pot to inspect it. When I was at a point where I was satisfied with the overall taste of my dish, I turned off the induction cooker. I was on my way to opening the drawer when all of a sudden, someone abruptly grabbed the back of my collar. I was close to falling because of the pull of whatever it was. I am thankful that he was able to take me in his arms. But I came uncomfortably close to drowning in my hair when he pulled my collar, which caused it to break loose from the hair tie that I was wearing. Now I looked just like Sadako. That is a complete disaster! "What the heck. I grumbled and asked, "What's wrong with you?" "So, who are you? What are you doing inside my house?! Are you a robber?" As I lay still in his embrace, the man interrogated me as if I were a criminal who just escaped from the prison. Damn! Wouldn't it be reasonable for me to be astonished or even angry? On the other hand, my response was different. When I looked at the face of the man who had dragged me, I was completely speechless. For some reason that I have no idea why, the motion of my surroundings suddenly slowed down. At the same moment, I noticed that my heart was racing more quickly. It seemed as if my surroundings were also experiencing fuzzy vision, which caused my attention to be drawn to the man who was wearing a white polo shirt. His eyebrows, with their flawless form and ample thickness. Coffee-colored eyes that continued to look into mine, as if they were trying to hypnotize me. The pointed tip of his nose. The flawless jawline that he possessed, which provided a stunning contour to his faultless handsomeness. It was impossible for me to take my eyes off of him. Is this the sensation that one has when they are enchanted? At the same moment that I am looking at this stranger, I have an overwhelming feeling that I have known him for a very long time. This is something that I just cannot figure out. The sense I get is that this is not the first time we have met. I took a deep breath. Who is this man in my life, anyway?Hi! Happy reading. Please let me know if you love this story in the comment section. Hvae a nice day and God Bless!
“Doc Martinez?!” I couldn’t believe I saw him here. I mean, it’s so random that we met in a place like this, and in this situation. So embarrassing! He smiled faintly at me and gestured for me to step back. Then he immediately turned his attention to Frank, who now seemed hesitant.“Is there a problem, Sirs?” asked the guard who approached us.“No,” he smiled at the guard and shook his head. “We’re actually fine, right?” said Doc Martinez, now looking at Frank—waiting for his agreement. And surprisingly, he agreed. He was forced to nod at the guard. But as I carefully watched Doc Martinez subtly pat the punk on the back, I understood everything.Well, he should be scared.Even so, the guard still looked doubtful. But eventually, he left. He left us there and returned to his post at the glass door of the coffee shop, but he didn’t take his eyes off us. He was still watching us.Frank violently broke free, followed by a series of curses. Doc Martinez subtly approached him and whispered,
“I heard what happened to you the other day,” Yzack broke the silence. We were in the middle of a drive; he was driving me home. “You shouldn’t stay out too late. As far as I know, your work ends at eight in the evening, not twelve midnight.”I subtly smiled. He wasn’t looking at me when he said that. His expression was as if he didn’t care. But I don’t know why I felt his concern despite his demeanor.“Why aren’t you talking? Didn’t you hear what I said?”“I heard,” I said. “I just felt your concern for me, even though you treat me differently,” I added.“Tss. As if I care,” he said. “I’m just thinking about Beatrice. What if something happened to you? Who would take care of the child?”I sighed, raising my hands as if surrendering. “Okay, I’ll try my best to go home early. Sometimes Beatrice doesn’t want me to leave.” I smirked. “The child seems too attached to me.”“There’s a headquarters for you at home. Didn’t Blue mention it?” he asked.“He did. It’s just that, I need to go home
"Let her mother know," Blue said to me, still holding my hand. He wasn't looking at me; his gaze was fixed on Shamcey and Aunt Rabiya.I turned my attention back to my aunt and cousin. I couldn't hold back any longer. Aunt Rabiya's voice was getting louder, and they were attracting attention in the police station. Thankfully, there weren't many people at the precinct now, probably because it was late. I pulled away from his grasp and approached Aunt Rabiya. I took her arm. "Aunt," I interrupted. "Let's just talk about this at home, Aunt," I pleaded, my eyes begging her.Thankfully, I was able to get Aunt Rabiya to comply. When Aunt Rabiya's temper flares, she doesn't listen to those around her. Worse, she even argues with those who try to stop her. Maybe it's because she knows what I'm going through right now. She fell silent, and I stood beside her, stroking her back to calm her down somewhat."I'll have my bodyguards take you home. To ensure your safe return," Blue offered.Aunt Rab
"Heidi? W-What are you doing here?" Shamcey asked in disbelief when she saw me outside her workplace. Her face was full of surprise as she approached me. She looked around as if searching for someone before facing me."Why? Were you expecting someone to pick you up besides me?" I asked. I stood up from where I was sitting beside the fountain."Uh—No—""I sent Frank home," I cut her.I saw her glare when she heard what I said. "Why did you do that?!"As my eyebrows furrowed, I let out a bitter laugh. "I thought no one was picking you up? Why are you reacting like that?"I saw her gasp sharply as she looked around nervously. I think she was hoping to see her boyfriend nearby. Well, when we met earlier at the exact spot where I'm sitting now, I told him that Shamcey had to go home with me because her mother was starting to suspect something. Well, I just made that up. But it was the only way to get him to leave my cousin, even if it was just for tonight."You know what, you're annoying,"
When we arrived at their mansion, Boss Blue immediately helped me carry the things while he carried Beatrice, who was still fast asleep, to her room. Boss said that it was the first time he saw Beatrice sleeping on someone else's lap. Well, was she that comfortable with me?I spent a few minutes watching Beatrice sleep. I don't know why, but I couldn't stop staring at her angelic face. It felt like my heart was overflowing with joy just looking at her. I snapped back to reality when someone touched my shoulder. It was Boss Blue. He motioned for me to leave, which I immediately did. After I left, he closed the door gently. He invited me to the kitchen. We sat at the dining table. Then he slid a folder across the table and placed it in front of me. “These are Beatrice’s info and preferences. I put everything here so you won't have a hard time deciding what to cook when I'm not around or if I'm abroad. It also lists her likes and dislikes, her favorite colors, toys, and everything,”
I was taken aback by Beatrice's last statement. I didn't know whether to laugh or be embarrassed. Boss Blue and I locked eyes, and I quickly averted my gaze. I swallowed hard. Beatrice's words created an awkwardness between us. Or… I don't know if he felt it too. Or maybe it's just me experiencing these vibes because of what happened between me and Boss Blue. Boss Blue almost shook his head and closed his eyes when Beatrice cried. No matter what he said or did, he couldn't calm her down. Yzack, who was standing in the corner, sighed in frustration.“Uhm… Beatrice,” I interjected their conversation. I held her small hands to face her. “Your Dad is right, what you're asking for isn't that easy. But we'll figure it out, mmkay?” I said.I saw Beatrice smile at me when I said that. I also smiled realizing how easy it was to calm her tantrums. Well, I haven't really experienced her tantrums yet. But I feel like she's easy to take care of. She's very understanding and a very kind child. It'
