Day 11: Part 1
When Dr. Tyson woke up he had a terrible hangover. Something he never thought he would get from beer. He was naked, lying on Chance’s bed with almost a hazy to no memory of last night. Sure he has had hangovers before, and trust him he was not a fan of them when he had to go to duty with them. He had already taken enough breaks, and with Dr. McGrath’s honeymoon, he was supposed to be the oldest resident in the department. He had to show that he was capable enough, because he really would be the oldest one in the department next year.
Will all these crazy thoughts in his mind, he decided to get up from his seat and head out to check out if Chance was present or not. He didn’t find Chance, but he did find a bag with a note attached to it.

“Meet me before your shift. At my apartment.” Chance heard Dr. Tyson say from the other end.“M…meet you”? Chance was taken aback. “For…?” he trailed off.“Sex, of course. We gotta make it as much as we can.” and with that Dr. Tyson hung up. Chance stared at the phone in shock as the screen showed ‘call ended’ and wondered exactly what had gotten into him. He was on his way to one of his former school friends' parties, where he was invited for the evening. Occasion? Nothing much apart from a simple reunion of the whole gang from the good old days.

“I am with a guy at this moment.” Chance could feel his nerve wracking as he blurted those words. Coming out to people, no matter how many times he had done it in the past, it never got easy. To let people know about yourself, to not purposefully hide who you are. It was great, but it was also incredibly scary at the same time as well."What did you just say"? Dr Tyson and Chance laid there in silence, catching their breaths when a sound of growling broke the silence. "You should have had your lunch first." Dr. Tyson commented."You appeared more tasty." Chance didn’t hear from Dr. Tyson for the next few days and that was starting to worry him. Meanwhile, even though distracting himself from Scott by having sex with Dr. Tyson worked the other day he was still bothered by it, especially when Scott reached out to him via social media after all these years. He was yet to reply to Scott, and thus he kept himself immersed in his work.He was busy filling out some paperwork, when Kara approached him, “Chance, what is going on with you?” She asked, “Ever since this morning you have been distracted.”“I can say the same about you.” Chance retorted back. He would be lying if he said that amidst this mess he didn’t notice a change in Kara. It was as if an alarm went out inside his head which prompted Chance to push away Scott immediately. Being the stronger of the duo, it didn’t take much effort to do so. “What the hell man?!” Chance shouted. “I told you I am in a relationship!” he yelled at Scott. “You said it was complicated.” Scott retorted. “That was not an invitation for you to kiss me!” Chance huffed. “Get out of my car! Right now”! He huffed in anger. He could see how visibly hurt Scott was, and even though he did not like that he couldn’t allow Scott to get away with what he was doing. How could he? They laid right next to each other, catching their breaths while coming down from the high of their heated session.“I’m so glad you showed up right now.” Terrence mumbled as he stared at the ceiling.“Is that how horny you were?” Chance teased his partner.“No, I get to clean the sheets along with everything else. It reduces my energy.” Terrence declared.“How can you still work after that, it doesn’t hurt?” Chance was appalled. The next morning, Chance headed out to go to the Hospital and started to look for Kara. He wanted to clear his head by sharing his new found revelation about his feelings, but unfortunately Kara was late that day, and thus got swamped in the work as soon as she arrived. It wasn’t until lunch when they finally had some free time. “Guess what I am doing this weekend?” With a cheeky smile, Kara asked her friend.“Partying”? Knowing Kara, that was the safest bet. The scene at the hospital wasn’t less horrific than what was at the scene. When Terrence was called in the middle of his work with the presentation, he ran to the hospital getting ready to take charge. They were lucky that Dr. McGrath was back from his honeymoon, because they really needed him at this moment of crisis.Usually third years weren’t allowed to lead their surgeries, but seeing the depth of the situation, they agreed to make an exception just for this once. When he found out everyone was being called in for duty, he tried to check in with Kara, according to whom Chance hadn’t arrived. He was standing by the ER waiting for any patient who resembled Chance to come while at the same time hoping he wasn’t one of the casualties. It didn’t help that even after numerous calls Chance didn’t pick up.
