                        Kayla

“Are you glad?”

“Huh?” I blinked twice, and stared at him, confusion everywhere on my face.

“Glad about what?” I queried while looking as calm as I could afford to.

He pursed his lips as if he were in deep thoughts, then he said, “I don't know, maybe you are glad your father doesn't need to be all false about his love towards you.”

I scoffed. “As if I care.”

“Oh, you do care.” He chuckled. “When I look at you, I see a lady deprived of real parental love. You might act like you hate him, but I know you don't.”

“I thought I only had a husband, never knew he had some talents… face reader.” I scoffed. “Don’t act like you know me, you don't.”

Another chuckle slipped out of his throat. “You should be happy, because there is nothing about you that I am unaware of.”

“Don’t get ahead of yourself yet, Alpha Ferrell.” I dragged out his name. “I never agreed to be your woman.”

“My woman?” He repeated. I looked away the moment I realized I had my eyes in him all these while I was talking to him.

“It’s been long since you became mine, darling Kayla. I only just made it obvious since I can't take the distance any more.”

I sneered before I could get a hold of myself. “I really want to yell in your ears how delusional you sound.”

When I looked at him again, for a split second, I saw something akin to pain flash on his face. But as fast as I saw it, it cleared and his face was back to how it was–neutral.

I watched him stand up from his seat, and slowly started to advance towards me. Each step he took forward, and closer to me, I felt like I couldn't breathe. It felt like the room was becoming air tight, and the only person I wanted to lean into for a fresh breath was him.

So crazy.

He stopped just a step away from me. “Stand up.” He said, his voice was calm, but the words he said…it boomed with authority.

I swallowed nothing, but instead of standing as I should, I found myself sitting still as if no one said a word.

Geez… Kayla, you are soon going to get yourself killed.

“I hate repeating myself, Kayla. Stand. The. Fuck. Up.”

Not wanting to incur his wrath, I forced my limp body up, looking everywhere but his face. I really wished he had let me, however, he didn't give me such luxury.

“Look at me, Kayla.”

It took me more than three seconds, but I obeyed him. “Agree this instant that you belong to me, agree that you are my wife, agree that you belong to me alone.”

“What is this? Are you perhaps jealous that I like Raven, and not you?”

“A love that is no longer mutual.” He finally closed the space between us, his arm brushed against mine slightly, a tingle I have never felt, not even when I was still together with Raven ran straight from my chest to my feet. “Don’t be so pathetic.” He added as he lowered his head a little to my eye level.

“Raven doesn't want you anymore, he no longer has any use for you. Is that so hard to accept?”

Yes. It was hard, and so totally unacceptable. How could I possibly accept the fact that the man I've loved for years was one with my half sister. Not some random lady but my own half sister.

Someone who spent half of her life, what was I saying? She used her whole sick life to make my life miserable. As if taking my father away from me and my mother wasn't enough, she still had some shameless guts to take away my would–have–been fiancee.

“I don't see why you are so concerned about my personal business.”

He chuckled. “You always forget that whatever problem of yours is now mine too.”

“You say I shouldn't be so pathetic, but tell me, who is acting so annoyingly pathetic right now, I remember you telling me until I fully acknowledge you as my husband, I'd be locked away in that stuffy room away from the packhouse.” I stared straight into his eyes.

“I am yet to accept you, yet I am walking around, and you are pleading with me to be your wife, for real…” I flashed him a mocking smile. “It is you who is pathetic not me.”

His lips tugged up in a lazy smile. “And who said you won't accept me?” He started saying, a certain kind of wicked smile rested on his face. “I gave you time to accept me, yet you keep being stubborn. Sadly, I can't wait no more.” He leaned his head down to my face.

The image of when he kissed me the day I regained consciousness flashed before me, I quickly leaned my weight to my back, and tried to move away from him.

I wouldn't deny the kiss was great, but it felt like I was cheating on Raven. I know Vesper has him now, but it was only a matter of time until he returned back to me asking for my forgiveness.

Ferrell however, he didn't give me the chance. His hand moved swiftly round my waist. With an effortless tug forward, he pushed me to himself.

“I keep trying to control myself, I try to hold myself as much as possible, but each time I see your face, it becomes so tough for me. Each time I catch a whiff of your scent, I feel like I am about to go crazy.”

I frowned a little. “What the hell are you going on about? Don't dare do–”

My next words died in his mouth.

I tried to break free from the kiss, but his right hand moving up my back towards the zipper of the black dress I was wearing, and his left hand moving slowly from my neck to the back of my hair distracted me.

And without meaning to, I opened up giving him access to every corner of my mouth.

Lara was sure to cause chaos.Axton's finger trailing down my thighs forced my eyes open. Gosh, I still can't believe I actually closed my eyes while kissing someone I claimed to hate.He was just a touch away from my center when I gave him a push off my body. “What was that for?” I shot at him. “Do you go around kissing anyone and every woman you come across?”“No,” He shook his head slightly. “Only you, my love. Would it make you feel any better if I tell you right now you are the first woman I've ever kissed?”His eyes looked over my face, slowly dragging down to my cleavages. “Does it?” He asked again.“Cut the crap Axton. It doesn't make me feel better, and it never will.”“Really?” An amused smile played on the corner of his

  • A BRIDE FOR ALPHA AXTON    QUESTION UNANSWERED

KaylaThe walk was a silent one, not that I'd appreciate any conversation between–a Luna, and her maid–anyway.‘Is that you acknowledging the fact that you are Alpha Axton's Luna?’ I knew that voice. Lara was teasing me.I rolled my eyes at her, and muttered a low ‘shut the fuck up.’She giggled quietly, but said nothing more, until we got to what looked like a study. A private study room rather.“Are you sure he is here?” I asked her, as her eyes looked over the sandalwood door. She nodded. “Yes Luna.” She bowed respectfully, and walked away leaving me torn between going inside or leaving.I ended up choosing the former.A small push, and a little weight on the door, it opened, almost sending me to hit my forehead on the marble floor. After the shock of almost falling down wore off, I straightened. My eyes roamed over the dark room, I couldn't see a thing despite how much I squinted my eyes. Whatever was a sane person doing in a very dark room such as this o

Kayla“Let go of me.” My voice was a helpless stutter. I hoped he didn't see the fear in my eyes.He first tightened his grip, then he let go, gave my chin a soft rub before taking a step backwards. The moment he moved away from me, his expression hardened, when he opened his mouth and started to talk, his voice was icily cold.It felt like he was a different person altogether, like someone with multiple personalities. “This would be your room from today onwards. Until you fully acknowledge me as your husband, this is where you will stay, far and away from the main packhouse.”Without sparing me another glance, he stalked out of the room. After the door closed behind him, I exhaled rather sharply and sank down on my knees.‘He’s so scary, I don't like him again.’ Lara remarked, startling me a bit.‘I never did, but I'm glad to hear your confession.’ I muttered with a snort.‘At least, he is way better off than your so-called annoying jerk of an ex.’ She hiss

  • A BRIDE FOR ALPHA AXTON    A KISS WITH THE ALPHA

Kayla The kiss was nothing I had ever tasted, his lips was so soft, the way his tongue danced in perfect rhythm with mine…Kayla. Get a rein on your thoughts.Pushing him off my body with the last bit of strength in me, I flashed him what could pass for a murderous look. That was if he could see me.“What the hell do you think you are doing?”The room lit up the same moment he smacked his lips, and leaned in closer. I looked at him closely. His blue soft eyes stared at me, his lips curved up with pure mischief. “Kissing my bride, of course.”“You wish.” This was the man everyone–including myself–said was very dangerous, the man who killed and destroyed people however he wanted, it was funny that now that I was in such close proximity with him, I wasn't in anyway scared at all.And I don't think I would ever be.His eyes stared briefly at mine, then he moved away. “Is it still hard for you to see your ex boyfriend with another woman, your half sister to be pre

  • A BRIDE FOR ALPHA AXTON    AN UNFAMILIAR PLACE

KaylaWhen my eyes opened again, I was no longer in my room but inside a dark looking room.I blinked twice and struggled to adjust to the darkness at the same time, I wondered where I was.I didn't wonder for long as the door to the room I was in opened and someone entered. In the still darkness, I made out the silhouette of a man. He closed the door behind him and stood by the door for a long time then he walked fully inside.Whoever he was, I had no idea, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't see his face. The only thing I managed to make out was his white hair.“I can see you are awake.” He said. His voice was deep and husky yet it sounded sexy to my ears.Weird.“Why did you abduct me?” I shot at him. Alpha Axton was the only person who came to mind. No one, absolutely no one would dare venture into Crestmoon pack and abduct the Alpha's daughter.Outside, everyone believed I was the favorite amongst the two of us, so no one would want to taste the wrat
