“Let go of me.” My voice was a helpless stutter. I hoped he didn't see the fear in my eyes.
He first tightened his grip, then he let go, gave my chin a soft rub before taking a step backwards.
The moment he moved away from me, his expression hardened, when he opened his mouth and started to talk, his voice was icily cold.
It felt like he was a different person altogether, like someone with multiple personalities. “This would be your room from today onwards. Until you fully acknowledge me as your husband, this is where you will stay, far and away from the main packhouse.”
Without sparing me another glance, he stalked out of the room.
After the door closed behind him, I exhaled rather sharply and sank down on my knees.
‘He’s so scary, I don't like him again.’ Lara remarked, startling me a bit.
‘I never did, but I'm glad to hear your confession.’ I muttered with a snort.
‘At least, he is way better off than your so-called annoying jerk of an ex.’ She hissed.
‘Don’t talk about Raven in such a manner.’ I retorted. I could feel anger brewing up in my chest. Not that I could do anything to her, other than hurling sharp remarks at each other.
‘Of course you can't.’ Her voice was low, almost like a whisper in my head. It was all I could do not to picture a smirking wolf.
‘Stop reading my thoughts already.’ I hissed at her as I moved to stand up from my kneeling position.
‘You and I both know I can't, but I can actually try, sorry, pretend not to hear only if you behave like a good girl and agree to be Alpha Axton's bride.’
‘Dream on.’ I muttered outloud. ‘If you don't shut up, I swear, I will shut our communication walls.’
She scoffed. ‘You always do that, but might I be a little generous, and remind you of the consequences of shutting off our communication walls?’
’Yes. I know I can't summon you, even if I were in danger, unless you take pity and come out yourself.’
She wanted to say something more, but stopped when the door to what was now my room opened.
I turned in the direction of the opened door, and waited to see who was there.
One stupid part of me hoped it was Axton, while the sensible part of me prayed it shouldn't be him. I didn't want to feel that same feeling I did when he held my chin tight.
Much to my relief, a young beautiful lady dressed in a neat white uniform walked inside. She was all smiles as she respectfully ducked her head at me. “Greetings, Luna.” she said.
I frowned at the way she addressed me, but I said nothing, instead I trailed my eyes all over her. From her uniform to her neatly packed hair, I guess she was a maid.
She soon confirmed that.
“Alpha Axton ordered me to help you get dressed.” She said to me in a low voice, almost as if she was scared to talk.
“Where is he now?” I didn't know why I asked her that, but since it was out, I let it be as I couldn't get my words back.
“I apologize, but I can't tell you that.”
“Why?” I asked sharply. “Did he order you not to tell me? Do you know who I am?”
She sank down to the ground, a petrified expression on her face. “I apologize if my words anger you, I only replied to you based on the order given out by the Alpha.”
I stared at her for a long while, then I exhaled softly, and asked her to get up.
“Leave. I will get dressed myself.”
She rose to her full height, but refused to budge.
“And what are you still standing here for?” I snapped. “Leave already.”
“Forgive me for not introducing myself sooner, I've been assigned as your new personal maid.”
“Personal maid?” I snorted. “I don't need one.”
“But–” She tried to protest, but I cut her off.
“No buts, go tell him I said I do not want a tagging dog.”
She refused to move. Not even when I threatened to throw her out.
What infuriated me the more was the fact that she kept shivering while apologizing to me.
If she was that scared, then she should just do as I requested.
Simple.
Gosh. I hated everything happening recently. I hated myself for not being strong, I hated Vesper for snatching my man, I hated Raven for being so easily swayed, I hated my father–I’ve always hated him anyway.
The person I hated the most was Alpha Axton for ever proposing marriage to my father for the sake of Vesper.
Wait. Wait a minute.
He married me because of Vesper's illness.
As if my eyes just cleared, I immediately turned round, and started for the door.
The maid frantically called at me, but I ignored her.
“Where are you going, Luna?” She asked. I paid her no attention.
Walking down the dark, long hallway, I inhaled, and exhaled deeply.
I had a hell lot of questions to ask Axton, and unless he gave me the answers I needed to hear. There was absolutely no way I would accept him as my husband.
“Please come back, Luna. I beg of you, Alpha Axton wouldn't like this, he'd have my head for letting you out.” She continued to plead, I ignored her.
According to him, I was his wife, unless he was insane, he wouldn't harm me, no matter how angry he was.
After walking round and round for ten minutes I still ended up in front of my room. I stood in utter confusion, totally unsure of what to do.
I simply just decided I wanted to see Alpha Axton, but I had no idea where he could be.
Realizing how dumb I had acted, I turned round, and faced the gasping maid behind me. “Are you sure you have no idea where Alpha Axton is?” My eyes roamed over her body, searching for any speck of deception.
She bowed her head.
“I guess you do after all.” Without taking my eyes off her, I said, “Take me to him, I promise you won't lose your life.”
She raised her head up a little, a look of hesitation sat heavily on her face, almost like she didn't trust I could save or do otherwise with her life.
“I promised.” I added when I saw she wouldn't give in.
She flashed me a sm
all smile, and turning her back on me, she started to walk away.
I quietly followed suit, with a silent hope I'd get the answers I desperately needed to hear from Axton.
KaylaThe kiss was becoming intense, as the seconds rolled by, I could feel myself slowly sinking into his touches.Lara wasn't helping matters, if anything, she wanted to take control of my body.Hell no way was I going to allow that. Lara was sure to cause chaos.Axton's finger trailing down my thighs forced my eyes open. Gosh, I still can't believe I actually closed my eyes while kissing someone I claimed to hate.He was just a touch away from my center when I gave him a push off my body. “What was that for?” I shot at him. “Do you go around kissing anyone and every woman you come across?”“No,” He shook his head slightly. “Only you, my love. Would it make you feel any better if I tell you right now you are the first woman I've ever kissed?”His eyes looked over my face, slowly dragging down to my cleavages. “Does it?” He asked again.“Cut the crap Axton. It doesn't make me feel better, and it never will.”“Really?” An amused smile played on the corner of his
Kayla“Are you glad?” “Huh?” I blinked twice, and stared at him, confusion everywhere on my face.“Glad about what?” I queried while looking as calm as I could afford to.He pursed his lips as if he were in deep thoughts, then he said, “I don't know, maybe you are glad your father doesn't need to be all false about his love towards you.”I scoffed. “As if I care.”“Oh, you do care.” He chuckled. “When I look at you, I see a lady deprived of real parental love. You might act like you hate him, but I know you don't.”“I thought I only had a husband, never knew he had some talents… face reader.” I scoffed. “Don’t act like you know me, you don't.”Another chuckle slipped out of his throat. “You should be happy, because there is nothing about you that I am unaware of.”“Don’t get ahead of yourself yet, Alpha Ferrell.” I dragged out his name. “I never agreed to be your woman.”“My woman?” He repeated. I looked away the moment I realized I had my eyes in him all thes
KaylaThe walk was a silent one, not that I'd appreciate any conversation between–a Luna, and her maid–anyway.‘Is that you acknowledging the fact that you are Alpha Axton's Luna?’ I knew that voice. Lara was teasing me.I rolled my eyes at her, and muttered a low ‘shut the fuck up.’She giggled quietly, but said nothing more, until we got to what looked like a study. A private study room rather.“Are you sure he is here?” I asked her, as her eyes looked over the sandalwood door. She nodded. “Yes Luna.” She bowed respectfully, and walked away leaving me torn between going inside or leaving.I ended up choosing the former.A small push, and a little weight on the door, it opened, almost sending me to hit my forehead on the marble floor. After the shock of almost falling down wore off, I straightened. My eyes roamed over the dark room, I couldn't see a thing despite how much I squinted my eyes. Whatever was a sane person doing in a very dark room such as this o

Kayla The kiss was nothing I had ever tasted, his lips was so soft, the way his tongue danced in perfect rhythm with mine…Kayla. Get a rein on your thoughts.Pushing him off my body with the last bit of strength in me, I flashed him what could pass for a murderous look. That was if he could see me.“What the hell do you think you are doing?”The room lit up the same moment he smacked his lips, and leaned in closer. I looked at him closely. His blue soft eyes stared at me, his lips curved up with pure mischief. “Kissing my bride, of course.”“You wish.” This was the man everyone–including myself–said was very dangerous, the man who killed and destroyed people however he wanted, it was funny that now that I was in such close proximity with him, I wasn't in anyway scared at all.And I don't think I would ever be.His eyes stared briefly at mine, then he moved away. “Is it still hard for you to see your ex boyfriend with another woman, your half sister to be pre
KaylaWhen my eyes opened again, I was no longer in my room but inside a dark looking room.I blinked twice and struggled to adjust to the darkness at the same time, I wondered where I was.I didn't wonder for long as the door to the room I was in opened and someone entered. In the still darkness, I made out the silhouette of a man. He closed the door behind him and stood by the door for a long time then he walked fully inside.Whoever he was, I had no idea, and no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't see his face. The only thing I managed to make out was his white hair.“I can see you are awake.” He said. His voice was deep and husky yet it sounded sexy to my ears.Weird.“Why did you abduct me?” I shot at him. Alpha Axton was the only person who came to mind. No one, absolutely no one would dare venture into Crestmoon pack and abduct the Alpha's daughter.Outside, everyone believed I was the favorite amongst the two of us, so no one would want to taste the wrat
