Chapter 18

Franklin Maxford is standing on the balcony outside his room. He is like a king, looking down at his kingdom. In front of him is what looks like a never-ending Maxford land. Apple trees line up on the right side and a forest on the left side. At the center is the artful landscape design of one of his ancestors, Luther Maxford XIV. One of the views Maxfords, who never joined the family business, like his little brother, Alexander.

Since they were a child, Alexander never wanted to learn about the kind of business his family has. He insisted on having his career, and he did. Now, Alexander is a well-known surgeon. He managed to make a name for himself outside the norm. But, even though Alexander is not part of the business, he still is one of the bosses. Franklin consults his brother in some vital matters, especially if he doesn't know the right thing to do.
