Chapter Nineteen: She is Found.

"Hello."

"She isn't at home."

"No, we can't find her here either."

"I will hang up now."

"What did he say?" Rendall asked eagerly as Selene ended the call. "Did Brient find her at home?"

Selene shook her head sadly and Rendall kicked the empty trash can next to him.

"What do we do now?"

"I informed the security officers and a few colleagues that she had gone missing. They are looking for her too. If she's still missing after twenty-four hours, we would contact the police."

Selene watched him as he paced up and down the hall.

"You need to take it easy," Selene pointed out. He was stressing himself out. She was amused at how he was stressed out because of Helia. They quarreled almost all the time.

Rendall sighed in frustration, stopped pacing, and sat next to her.

"Is she stupid?" Rendall asked rhetorically. He sounded frustrated. "How could she have gone somewhere without telling anybody where she was going to?"
