Alex's POV

We had no idea Ralph was listening to our conversation.

I swallowed the lump in my throat. The thought of Ralph overhearing our conversation sent shivers down my spine.

"Um…. Ralph, how long have you been standing there?" I asked nervously.

"Does it matter? Who are you two trying to distract?" He asked and I was about to say something but Joanna was fast to talk before me.

"Miles, he seems to be into Serena so we thought of distracting him," she said but Ralph stared at us suspiciously.

"That's no business of yours." He said to Joanna and then turned to me.

He walked slowly to where I was and touched my hair. I felt weak In the knee.

My heart beats for this man.

I love him more than life itself. The way he stared at me I could tell something was on his mind.

"Is there a problem Ralph?" I managed to ask. His eyes were red, I couldn't tell he was angry or pissed at something.

He touched my tummy and then stared at my face.

"So bad we lost this little dude."
