Carrying The Alpha's child

As we got to the pack house I noticed Alex's stare, could she be aware of…?

I tried to hide myself behind Lara but she firmly held me close to her. 

I started having the same feeling as yesterday, at the cafeteria.

 Again I could feel the Alpha's presence. 

"Hey the Alpha is here.." Lara said but I couldn't respond as I wasn't feeling myself anymore. My wolf growled inside of me. 

I held my breath immediately Alex walked in. It dawned on me who the father of her unborn child is.

I abruptly stood up, startling both Lara and the people close to us.

"Is there a problem?" Lara asked, feeling concerned.

I gave her an awkward smile. "I… I need to get going, I just realised I have something to do—" I couldn't finish my last statement, when the door entrance was opened and the smell of mint and sandalwood spread across the whole pack, making my heart pound uncontrollably. 

 He stood there, then our eyes met. his charming brown eyes stared at mine again. I gasped nervously as I turned to leave, though Ralph was standing a few metres away from me his eyes trained on me.

 "Don't leave." I could hear Ralph's voice, he sounded a little soft, but I ignored it

"Stop running, You can't run forever," Ralph said, but this time I could sense frustration in his voice. 

I could hear my heart pounding really hard as he started walking towards my direction. I think my chest will burst anytime soon. 

I heard the noise coming from the crowd, and I could feel their surprised stare. I was too nervous and scared to look at them. I could only see Lara's shocked expression, and her mouth wide open. 

The more he got closer to me, the more I moved backward but my inner wolf was screaming at me to accept my fate.

Eventually, I did, I stood there and Ralph got close to me, his stare was something I couldn't comprehend. He placed his palm on my left cheek. I could feel how warm his palm was. 

He stared deeper into my eyes, I felt weak in the knees, only the heavens know how much I love this man… 

But the atmosphere was getting weird, making it difficult for me to breathe properly. I tried to calm myself and my inner wolf from bursting out. 

"Why do you keep running away from me?" Ralph asked. Breaking the silence between us. I was shocked. Did he just talk to me? 

 I coughed, trying to clear my throat and think of what to say to him. 

"Well… it's just… umm…," I started but I was too shy and nervous to say a word. And then my attention diverted to Alex, who was standing not too far from us. She gave me a sad look, my heart ached, knowing I am the cause of My twin's sad expression.

I know Alex and I also know when she's trying to fake things so I could leave. But it's fine. 

I stepped backward and removed his hand from my face as I tried to move away from him. 

Lara tried to stop me but I didn't listen to her.

I sprinted in the direction where Miles, the beta of our pack, stood. Not minding the shock on everyone's faces. 

Surprisingly Miles ran after me, he yelled for me to stop but I didn't as I continued to run far away from the pack.

I got tired and decided to rest, when I heard a voice that startled the hell out of me, it was Miles, Ralph's best friend. We've always been cool friends, he of all people knows have always had a huge crush on Ralph.  

"Why do you keep on running from the Alpha?" Miles asked, trying to catch his breath. 

"jeez, you startled me."

"yeah, that was the intention, now answer my question," he said with no emotion on his face.

"You're being too serious," I sighed softly then continued. we…we are really close friends. you know how much I love Ralph right?"

        "I do," he answered.

 I took a deep breath before I continued. "And you also know Alex loves him as well?"

"So that's what all this is about, Alex? For heaven's sake, you're acting this way because of your twin?" 

"I'll do anything to make her happy, that's how much I love her." 

"And….? 

I don't wanna talk about it anymore, I just..I just wanna go home, I'm sorry.

"It's okay, I'll walk you home." He said giving those sweet eye looks. I smiled and we both walked home quietly.

It wasn't too long before I arrived home… I heard Alex's voice, immediately I knew there was trouble. Suddenly She slapped me very hard across my cheek

I felt that. I blinked twice as my vision became blurry and My cheek went red.

"How dare you? How dare you get fated to the man of my dreams… Huh?" 

"How dare me? How? I didn't choose all of this, I never asked for the Alpha to be my mate."

"Lies, you know have always been in love with Ralph, and now you used your evil powers to steal him away from me right? What did I ever do to you? Answer me!" Alex yelled.

"Love? You and I both know I was the first to fall in love with Ralph, even before he became Alpha. I have always loved him with all of my heart, I told you about my feelings for him but what did you do? You laugh at me because you thought Jake was going to be Alpha.

 All you've ever wanted was Luna's position, Jake died and now you switched to his brother, Ralph. you never cared about him, suddenly you're all over him because he is now the Alpha." I said as tears kept rolling down my cheeks." Alex got up, raised her hand, and pointed it at my face. 

"Listen carefully, I'm carrying the Alpha's–"

            "Child?"

 I interrupted her. "Sure everyone is aware of that. You know….It's funny how nobody sees how fake you are.

Like why now all of a sudden?"

"I'm the pregnant one here… you're just his fated mate. I'm the one with his child.
