On Saturday night after dinner, Stephanie told his Father he was going out with a friend the next day.

When Lily heard she was going out with someone else and not Elsie -whom they are familiar with, she asked. “Stephanie can I come along? I want to see your new friend.”

Stephanie looked at her with a doting smile on her face as she ruffled her hair “No! Stay with your grandpa and be a good girl., okay?”

“Stephanie who are you going out with?” Liam who was the most protective of her asked.

“My senior from school!”

“Male or female?”

“Male, you two knows him, he was the mister that… Stephanie stopped herself in time.

She couldn’t let her father find out that Liam and Lily almost had an accident.

Liam and Lily being so smart understood who Stephanie was referring to, even though she stopped half way.

“Stephanie, are you two dating now? I wanted to introduce you to someone more handsome.” Lily said

Hearing this Stephanie laugh, Nope! He is not my boyfriend.”

“Stephanie, does that mean I can introduce you to the handsome guy? Lily asked with a cheeky smile.

“Nope! I’m not interested in your handsome guy either.”

“So Stephanie, what kind of a guy are you interested in?”

“I’m interested in Liam and Lily.” Stephanie said with a smile.

“You know that’s not what I mean.”

The atmosphere was relaxed and cheerful.

Sunday afternoon.

Stephanie and Frank drove to the Gu estate.

Stephanie looked stunning in a red dress, looking at her, Frank had to remind himself that this was fake.

But he hopes that before this three months is over, that Stephanie will accepts him for real.

As soon as thy entered, Mr Gu beamed when he saw Frank with a woman by his side. “Frank! And this must be….”

Frank had already informed him about the contract deal with the Robinsons and told him he was coming home today with his girlfriend.

“Grandpa, meet Stephanie my girlfriend.”

Mr Gu took Stephenie’s hand. “Stephanie! Delighted to finally meet you, I’ve heard so much about you.”

Frank stared at his grandfather in shock, when did he tell him about Stephanie, he only told him he was coming over with his girlfriend today.

Stephanie unaware of the tension between Frank and his grandfather, smiled warmly. “Nice to meet you Mr Gu. Thanks for having me.”

Mr Gu waved it off. “Nonsense, just call me grandpa. Come, let’s have lunch

They all headed to the dining hall.

At the dining table.

Stephanie was seated next to Mr Gu, with Frank across from her.

Mr Gu asked Stephanie about her family and Job, Stephanie told him everything, apart from the fact that she is a single mother of two children.

When Mr Gu heard she was a Heart surgeon, he was thrilled, he think that Stephanie was so talented and was good to be his granddaughter-in-law

Frank mostly listened , watching her charm his grandfather.

At some point,Mr Gu said. “You two are perfect together. When is the wedding?”

Stephanie laughed it off, oh we are taking it slow.

“Okay ! I understand, but you two should not keep me waiting for so long, I’m too old and I want to see my great grandchildren before I die.

Stephanie just smiled without saying anything.

Frank was relieved.

As they finished, Mr Gu said, “you two go enjoy the gardens . I’ll catch up later.

Stephanie smiled. “Sounds lovely.”

Frank and Stephanie got up and headed to the garden, while Mr Gu went to his room to take a nap.

As the strolled the garden, Frank turned to Stephanie.

“Stephanie, don’t mind him, my grandfather is always like that, once he likes you, he can talk the whole day without getting tired.”

Listening to him, Stephanie smiled. I think he is sweet.”

The walk in silent for a while , then Stephanie’s phone rang, she glanced at the screen before turning to Frank, “excuse me, let me take this call.”

She moved away from him and answered the call.

“Steph, the result are read, should I send it to you, or will you come over.” The voice on the other end sounded.

“I will come over later, Stephanie replied with that the call ended.

Stephanie walked up to Frank and told him that something came up and she might be leaving soon.

After walking around for a while, they went back inside, where they got inside, Mr Gu was already awake, when he saw them he called them over to play Chess with him.

Stephanie was good at playing chess -she always plays with her father.

Mr Gu was surprised that a young girl like her could play chess so well.

Someone who could achieve all this things at a young age and can still play chess very well, is worthy of becoming his granddaughter in-law.

But after playing for sometime, she got up to leave, she greeted the old man and left with Frank .

Before they left, Mr Gu held Stephanie’s hands and said. “Come back soon, dear, anytime.”

He gave Frank a look that says. Don’t let her go. Before walking them out.

On the way, Stephanie told Frank to drop her off at Pride Garden Hotel.

“Going to see someone?” Frank asked.

“Yeh! Stephanie answered.

That was the only word the exchange, they both had nothing else to speak about.

Finally they arrived at Pride Garden hotel.

Just as Stephanie was about to stepped down Frank suddenly spoke up.

“Thank you for making my grandfather happy. Stephanie.”

Stephanie just smiled at him before getting down.
