Chapter 26

When Stephanie got to Joe’s room, he was eating.

“Steph, come and join me.” He offered.

“I just ate.” Stephanie replied and sat down in the sofa waiting for him.

When he was done, they got down to business.

He told Stephanie everything he found out.

Jane didn’t pay any one to kill her children , she sent Jorge, her lover to do it.

Joe gave her intimate photos of Jane and Jorge that he had taken, and the recording of their phone calls.

Stephanie was surprised when she saw the picture.

So even though Jane was married to Nathan, she was still having an affair with other men.

How would Nathan react if he found out about this.

If she was not mistaken, Jorge was the one who took Jane’s virginity.

She collected all the evidence that Joe had gathered and got up to leave.

"Stephanie, now that I'm done with my part, what about the meal you promised me? And the people you want to introduce me to?"

“How about this weekend, I have other things to attend today.” Stephanie suggested.

Joe nodded. “Alright then.”

With that Stephanie headed out.

On getting at the entrance, she took out her phone and dialed a familiar number that she hadn’t called for ages.

After the first ring, the call was answered.

“Stephanie, what’s up?”

“Jane come to the coffee shop at XX street, I want to see you.”

“Stephanie, what do you mean? Are you back to the country?”

Stephanie chuckled. “Are you really asking me that? Shouldn’t you know if I’m back or not.”

“Stephanie, I really don’t know, when did you come back?”

“Jane, stopped the pretense, I’m waiting for you at the coffee shop, if I don’t see you here in the next thirty minutes then don’t blame me for being rude.” Stephanie said coldly before hanging up the phone.

Stephanie was planning on arresting Jane for attempted murder. But knowing that her father will not be happy when he finds out about it and couple with the fact that arresting Jane might not guarantee that Jane and Margret will not come after her children again. She decided to try another approach.

Since she really value the position of Mrs Robinson, then let’s threaten her with it.

Meanwhile after the call, Jane was restless, she couldn’t remember the last time Stephanie called her.

And from her tone, its seems like she knew something.

What’s happening?

Why did she want them to meet up.

Could it be that Jorge had succeeded with their plan and Stephanie is suspecting her.

With this thought, she took her phone and dialed Jorge number, Jorge answered the call and informed her that he hasn’t made any move yet.

If Jorge hadn’t made any moves yet then why did Stephanie suddenly want to meet with her?

She didn’t want to go, but Stephanie last warning continued to echo in her head. “If I don’t see you here in the next thirty minutes then don’t blame me for being rude’.

What does that mean? What is Stephanie planning?

Who knows if Stephanie will come here to find her if she didn’t go.

No! She will not give her the opportunity to succeed with her plan.

Jane glanced at the time, it was eight o’clock pm.

Thank God Nathan had been coming back late recently.

Jane dressed up and drove to the coffee shop.

On getting there, Stephanie was already seated in the coffee shop, sipping a cup of coffee and waiting for her.

Seeing her, Stephanie said sarcastically, “My dear sister, you’re earlier than I expected . What are you afraid of?”

Ignoring her questions, Jane asked. “Stephanie what do you want?”

Stephanie lifted her gaze to meet her and chuckled softly. “Very well then , sit down let talk.”

Jane felt a cold shiver run through her spine as she met Stephen’s gaze.

She stared blankly at Stephanie,she could tell Stephanie had changed.even though she couldn’t pinpoint how.

Stephanie was no longer the naive girl you can easily take advantage of .

Jane slowly sat down.

Stephanie dropped a stack of pictures in front of her.

Jane froze when she saw those pictures. “S…Stephanie, where did you get all this?” She stuttered.

Stephanie looked at her,but had no intention of answering her, instead she asked .”a week ago, you sent your Lover, Jorge to kill my children, with an unlicensed car, right?”

Jane was momentarily speechless.

How did Stephanie finds out that Jorge was the one driving that car?

How did she find out about her affair with Jorge?

She had always kept her affair with Jorge a secret, not even her mother is aware that she is still seeing Jorge so how did Stephanie found out?

And how did she finds out she was the one that sent Jorge to kill her children.

With a sharp gaze fixed on Jane,Stephanie added.”Jane, this will be my last warning to you, if you come after my children again, I won’t only arrest you for attempted murder, but I will send this pictures to Nathan and Mr Robinson and also post them on social media and ruin your perfect image. You don’t need to worry about how I will get evidence to send you to Jail, just know that if I could find out about your affairs with Jorge, no matter how well you play your game,. Then there is nothing I can’t find out .”

“Stephanie, Can you get rid of those photos, I promise , I will never try to harm your children again.”

“If you keep to your words, then no one else will ever know about this photo, but if you go back on your word, then…” Stephanie paused looking at her.

Jane was not a fool she understood the underlying words.

“Don’t try to mess with this photos there are more from where I got them .” With that Stephanie stood up and left.
