I Need You, Levin. Now!

 Matilda's POV.

I saw Levin's dark blue car not far from the house. Without thinking again, I left the room through the window because I didn't want my mother and Amelie to know that I was leaving.

When I see Jackson leaving the house area, I can now imitate him. I can get out of the room without opening it and going through the fence.

"I thought you wouldn't pick me up." I said, then immediately got into his car. "Let's go."

Levin drove the car back. "What's wrong with you, Matilda?"

"I can't tell you now." My head shook. I didn't feel ready to tell Levin everything.

Luckily I was able to mate with Levin, he really understands my position and condition. Without saying much, he continued to drive the car.

Ten minutes passed, my eyes continued to look at the street, which in some parts was deserted. Even though I'm with Levin now, the image of Alpha Rexton and Amelie holding hands and laughing together still disturbs my mind.

The car is still moving at medium speed. All this time I didn't pay attention to Levin, my eyes kept looking at the road where his car was passing.

"In twenty minutes my break is over, where are we going?"

"Bar." I answered simply. "I don't want to go home yet."

 "Are you sure?"

I nodded my head in response to Levin's question.

The car drove this time to a sub-district which I think is higher. Maybe Levin was afraid that he would be late returning to work.

He dropped me off in front of the bar while Levin drove the car back to the basement. I stared at Levin's car leaving while exhaling heavily.

"You are very nice, but why do you have to mate with me?" I asked quietly.

This bar, which is also a club, is very busy. Inside there were many visitors enjoying the evening. Some just sat and talked or drank and others danced to the sound of blaring music and lights which added to the cozy atmosphere.

When I entered the bar, I looked around first. Not long after, I smelled a strong woody aroma mixed with mint. It was Levin's scent.

I found my mate who was walking towards the bar area. My footsteps came closer, then sat on one of the benches right in front of him.

 "You want something to drink?"

 "Give me a beer."

 "Are you sure?" Levin frowned.

I nodded confidently. "Just give it."

Not another word came out of his mouth, he nodded his head and made me a beer.

A glass of beer was in front of me, I immediately drank it until it was finished. This drink, which I had never drunk before, didn't taste very good, but I still tried to finish it.

"Give me some more." I said as I placed the empty glass on the table.

Levin chuckled, I don't know what's so funny. "Are you sure?" He reassured me again.

I nodded. "Just give it. " I answered simply.

Tonight I want to erase all thoughts about Alpha Rexton and Amelie and all the bad possibilities that come with them. I'm too tired to think about it, I'm desperate.

Maybe by downing hundreds of beers I can forget all about them. Even though I'm actually not used to it and don't like it, I want to get rid of those who keep bothering me.

"Why did you two do that? I don't care who asked you to go first, why did you two go without me? Alpha Rexton, isn't your girlfriend me and not Amelie?!"

My hand really wants to slap both of their faces. It doesn't matter if he is Alpha. Whoever hurts my heart, I want to repay them with more pain than I feel. Even if he was an Alpha, I wouldn't be afraid.

I don't know how many hours I've been here, I can't remember anymore. My thoughts are out of control, this way I no longer think about Alpha Rexton and Amelie.

 ***

I opened my eyes and saw the ceiling of a not so unfamiliar room. When I looked around, apparently I was in my own room. I don't know what happened last night, nor do I know who took me home and put me on the bed.

"Did Levin do it?" I asked, although I wasn't sure about that either.

It seemed impossible that Levin would dare come here. I already told him that mom and Amelie knew I was Alpha Rexton's girlfriend and didn't have a mate.

My eyes opened wide when I realized something. I keep convincing myself that it won't happen.

Glancing at the clock, it was twenty minutes past seven. I'm still have time to get ready and go to work even if it is very little.

"Morning, Mom." I said, greeting the woman who was washing the dishes.

Mom turned around. "Oh, where did you go last night? With whom?"

"Myself." I answered simply. "Did someone take me here?"

 "Yes, he's Levin."

My eyes widened, it turned out that my bad thoughts were really happening. "Then, what did he say?"

"I tried asking him, but he didn't answer my question clearly either. At three in the morning you came drunk with a man. Oh, Matilda ...."

"S--sorry." I lowered my head. Levin shouldn't have taken me home.

 "Are you going to work?"

I nodded. "There's still time, I'll leave now."

"You haven't finished your breakfast, Matilda." Mama shouted a little from inside the kitchen because I had already headed for the door.

"I'll continue later at work." I answered, also shouting.

After wearing stilettos, I opened the door of the house and immediately stepped out. Without realizing it, in front of me there was someone with a tall and big body.

I bumped into the body accidentally. Instead of falling to the ground, he held my back so that I fell to the surface.

"Jack!" I was shocked when I saw him, I immediately avoided his embrace. "What are you doing at my door?! Leave or I'll scream!"

"N-no, don't scream. I didn't come here with any evil intentions, I just wanted to look for Amelie. Is she in there?"

I moved both my shoulders at the same time. "You just look inside yourself."

At five to eight I was in front of the cafe where I worked. I sighed feeling lucky that it wasn't too late even though my body still didn't feel normal enough to go back to actual work.

I try to keep working as usual. Serve customers, deliver the food and drinks they order and help other employees who may be in trouble.

The full queue at the cashier made the boss tell me to help Lizzy. I stood at cashier number two and started making transactions.

"Hi, Matilda. Are you feeling better?"
