I knew I kind of rushed her with the offer, but I desperately wanted her by my side. I knew that the feeling was not mutual, but I didn’t mind, as long as she was here. There was no way I could understand my turmoil right now, but I was doing my best not to unleash it.

I spent the last few days wondering what it would have been like if we didn’t stop our bursts; if we had given free rein to the passion that dwelt in us. One thing was certain. Although she did not let this for me to see, it convinced me that there was a struggle in Teresa’s soul. There were thousands of questions, such as why a human?

Teresa had that sort of brightness that I never saw on anyone, not even in Bella. My poor Bella. I was sure she was seeing all my battles here. I once promised her I would never look for my Luna? How selfish was that?

And if Teresa was indeed my other half, my soulmate, then it was time to act. I would not let her escape. I would respect her decision of not wanting, but as fa
