Chapter 6: His Woman

Dylan arrived at his company—a mobile production company in their city. He was known globally and had foreign partners too.

Dylan parked his car, a Honda Jeep, in the company parking lot and made his way into the five-story building, going up to the third floor where his office was located.

After settling into his office seat, Dylan resumed his office work for the day. He met with top partners and clients who wanted his brand and new product models.

When he finally finished, Dylan relaxed on his executive black office chair and received a phone call from Rosie Andrew.

Rosie was excited to know if Jessica had signed the divorce papers.

"Hello, babe. Good morning," Rosie spoke first, excitedly, into Dylan's ear on the phone.

Dylan stared at his phone screen and replied, "Good morning, sweetheart. How was your night?"

"Not good without having you here with me," Rosie shamelessly replied in a seductive voice.

Dylan swallowed hard as he slowly loosened his necktie to free his neck. He apologized to Rosie, "I'm sorry, but you know I cannot continue to sleep outside my home. It might ruin my reputation if it gets out to my customers and fans online."

Rosie was silent on the phone as she frowned, but she replied, "Don't you love me enough, Dylan? Why do you care more about your fans than me?"

"No, babe, don't get it wrong. You know if I don't settle my marriage issue with Jessica first and make it known that I'm no longer married to her, some fans might become angry and try to ruin my business. I cannot allow that to happen, knowing Jessica played a vital role in my business and establishment," Dylan said, trying to explain his reason to Rosie.

Rosie's frown deepened in her room. She knew she didn't truly love Dylan anymore. She only wanted his money, and she couldn't believe Dylan had become rich again and bounced back to being a billionaire, away from poverty.

Rosie knew Dylan's parents were rich before, but his father got scammed by a foreign woman who took all his wealth. That made Dylan and his two siblings poor.

Rosie was younger then and wanted a wild life. She was nineteen years old when Dylan's parents lost their wealth and became poor overnight, and Dylan's education came crashing down too.

Rosie couldn't accept that her boyfriend of three years had turned poor overnight and could no longer afford to buy her expensive things.

When an opportunity came for her to travel abroad to further her education, Rosie wasted no time. She didn't tell Dylan about it, nor could she tell him to his face that they had broken up and she was no longer in love with him.

Rosie pretended over the years that she still loved Dylan, but she had moved on abroad and slept with other men. She only spoke to Dylan on phone calls and refused to return to the city until now.

It had been nine good years since Rosie left the country and left Dylan and their relationship behind. Now she was back at her parents' house because her own parents were no longer rich. Her father's company had been bought and claimed by Mr. Luke Albert.

Rosie researched the billionaire named Mr. Luke Albert, who had bought her father's company to help him clear his debt in exchange for the company.

Her father's company name was changed to LA Groups. Rosie discovered that Mr. Luke Albert was an elderly man with two sons and only one daughter.

While researching Mr. Luke's sons online to see if she could date either of the two billionaire men, Rosie stumbled on Dylan's profile page.

She saw that Dylan was married to Mr. Luke's daughter and was Mr. Luke's first son-in-law, as neither of Mr. Luke's sons were married. Both men were single and not the social types, avoiding scandals and women in general.

Rosie was shocked to enter Dylan's profile page and see that he was already married. She saw his wedding photo with his beautiful wife. Not only that, Dylan was now a billionaire with a multimillion-dollar company and two children.

"How did this happen?" Rosie asked herself in shock, seeing that Dylan wasn't the poor guy she had thought he would end up becoming.

She wasted no time in copying Dylan's company address, thinking it best to see Dylan in his office after she confirmed he was the same man she had dated ten years ago.

Rosie proceeded to visit Dylan at DY Group. She faked her tears and cried to him when she entered his executive office. She accused Dylan of cheating on her and said he couldn't even wait for her to return to the country, before marrying another woman and forgetting all the love they had shared.

Rosie hadn't thought Dylan would accept her so easily. She had thought he still loved Mr. Luke Albert's daughter more than her or their past failed relationship.

But Dylan accepted her easily and told her, "It's not how you're seeing it, Rosie. I still love you, but it just happened that I met my wife, and she helped me become the man I am today."

"And what about me, Dylan? What about us? Our promise, the love we shared, my virginity that you took? How can you do this to me? I was hoping that once I returned to the city, we would get married. How could you move on so easily, Dylan? How could you just forget about me?" Rosie had thrown all manner of questions at Dylan to make him feel like the bad one in their relationship, when she was the one who had refused to pick up his calls.

Even back then, Dylan had asked Rosie to lend him some money that he would return once he used it to establish himself or make a profit.

Rosie refused, and in her mind, she even cursed Dylan, thinking, "How can I be the one sponsoring my man? Doesn't he see his peers who take care of their women? Stupid man."

Rosie cried the day she visited Dylan's office.

Dylan then accepted her back, and she gave him her new home address since she no longer lived in her parents' house. She told him she was still single.

Rosie had a boyfriend named Frederick Joseph, but Frederick wasn't rich.

Now that Rosie had seen Dylan still loved her, she wanted to scam him of his wealth and use the money to establish Frederick instead.

Rosie disliked Dylan for becoming wealthy and not marrying her first instead of Jessica.

Rosie made sure to help Dylan prepare the divorce papers because she wanted Dylan all to herself. It would be easier to scam him, and no one would know she was at fault when she finally broke up with him.

"Dylan, what about the divorce papers I gave you last night? Have you given them to your wife at home to sign? I mean Jessica Albert—has she signed the divorce papers and left your house?" Rosie asked.

She heard him say, "I have given Jessica the divorce papers, but she isn't feeling too well now. She's unwell this morning and will need some time to go through the papers before she can sign them. And how come you didn't include that she would take fifty percent of my company revenue and take care of my kids? Didn't you know I have two kids?" Dylan asked, and Rosie pretended not to know.

She replied, "I don't know, Dylan, but isn't her family billionaires? What does she need your money for?"

Dylan was silent at first, and after a while, he replied, "No, Rosie. Jessica cannot go empty-handed like that. She suffered to help me build this company, and her parents won't take it lightly if I divorce her without properly sharing everything we have."

"So what do you want to do now?" Rosie asked, trying not to sound too desperate or annoyed on the phone.

Dylan replied, "I will prepare new divorce papers later and contact my lawyer now to get them ready so Jessica can sign them. Jessica doesn't want to divorce me."

"She has to, Dylan. I'm supposed to be your wife, not her. So let her go back to her parents' home," Rosie spat.

"Hmm," Dylan hummed. "It's okay. You have nothing to worry about."

Rosie finally pretended to be calm and said, "Dylan, you know I love you very much. I'm sorry I wasn't there for you all those times. Life hasn't been easy for me either, living abroad. And that period when you called and asked me for help—things got worse for me too. My dad's company collapsed and was bought, and I was struggling abroad too."

"It's okay, Rosie. I know all that. I saw it in the news too. Don't worry, I will come to your house today after I close from work. Be expecting me," Dylan said, and Rosie giggled.

"Okay, sweetheart, I will be expecting you. And what do you want me to prepare for you?" Rosie asked.

"You can cook now?" Dylan asked in surprise.

"Yeah, I learned how to cook abroad after things became tough. Buying ready-made food was expensive, and the portions were too small to fill my belly," Rosie said.

"Okay, prepare anything you have the energy to cook. Or don't worry, I'll just order our dinner so you don't get exhausted with cooking. I don't want you to be lazy in bed—I want you to satisfy me however I want tonight," Dylan said, a sweet smile curving on his face as he thought about how passionately he would make love to Rosie in her house when he finally got there after work.

Rosie replied, "Okay, babe, the bill is on you. I'll be expecting you. Goodbye and kisses." Rosie blew kisses to Dylan over the phone.

Dylan responded by blowing kisses back to her, before the call finally ended.
