　　It was a snowy time of year during this Winter Festival when everyone from all around got together to show off their different talents and shop owners would set up booths to sell their wares in their stores. The King and Queen would chaperone some of their students from the local school so that parents could see what their child could become at the school of Knights and Pages. This year the festival was being held in the town of Dragano which was between Surkim and Dragon Fang. 　　That morning the knights took off in search of Ethan. After the public display before the King and Queen, the whole town of Dragano knew that Ethan was responsible for the murder of Sir Dominic’s wife and kidnapping of Airow. What really went against him was that he was trying to raise Lord Dominic’s son as his own adopted son. The beatings that Airow had gotten were now public knowledge. When the knights got to Ethan’s house, he was gone. He had cleared out sometime during the night, taking only his horse and a few provisions. The Knights reported back and reported to the King and Lord Dominic what they had found. 　　Jade, Airow and Lord Dominic were on their way to Dragon Fang for the celebration. Airow was towing the new pony, Duchess. It was his dad’s gift to the new Princess. Jade was most proud of the rattle that her father had commissioned the blacksmith to make. It had the Princesses name spelled on it. She was just hoping that her father had spelled it right. Her father had trouble with spelling her name, much less anyone else’s. As they rode towards Surkim, each was lost in their own thought. Suddenly, they heard riders coming fast from behind them. It was a group of your riders who were riding their horses hard and not caring what they were doing to the horses. There was no purpose or reason for the ride, but to have fun they guessed. They passed them and kept going onto Surkim. As they came into Surkim, they saw that Lord Brandon was readying his group to leave. 　　Dominic went the next day and woke Airow up early.　　"Airow, get up and go eat." Said Dominic. It is time to start your lessons.　　"Is Jade coming, too?" Asked Airow.　　Jonah had dropped Jade off, and she was already downstairs and eating. This was to be how they would start the next year of their training. Lord Dominic and Jonah had set up traps and the knights were helping to confuse the two. The first day, they were caught in the traps within ten minutes. But with every day that passed, they improved. Their riding lessons also became more intense as did the weapon and math training. They did not understand at first what one had to do with the other. They would soon learn why each was important. On the last month before they were to complete their training, Dominic and Jonah came up with a most intense test.　　The day of the test had arrived. 　　The first class they received for training was with Sir Tycoon. He walked around and handed everyone a staff of their own. He told them that they were to bring this to class with them every day as this is where he would mark their merits. He had every one practice blocks, strikes, twirls and sweeps about twenty times depending on the number of mistakes they made. After about thirty minutes, most of the class was worn out. That is, all except for eight new students. Their names were Airow, Jade, Peter, Mitchell, Raymond, Thomas and George. Sir Tycoon called each of the eight students up to him to see why they were not exhausted like the others. So, he started to battle each student until they began to tire. Until he got to Airow and Jade. The two of them were able to handle each strike, each blow and sweep with exceptional abilities. Finally, Sir Tycoon called for a truce as he was tired.
