CHAPTER FIFTEEN

I had intended to use the five thousand dollars Logan had given me to pay for my mother's surgery. It was very important, as her condition could worsen at anytime. But my mother vehemently refused.

"You'll pay for Emily's school fees first." My mother had retorted. Emily and I exchanged a quiet glance.

"I don't care about that. You'll loose your admission slot in two weeks time if you don't pay your tuition fee. So I suggest that you use the money for Emily's education, first."
