Room 8

After walking through the passage for a long time, they finally got out to the open space and kimberly's hands unconsciously flew to her mouth on sighting the buildings in front of her.

It was more like she had entered a different world as soon as they stepped out of the passage because the sight in front of her, she couldn't describe.

She could only see Paradise right before her.

Ranging from the massively large environment to the tall glass buildings, there was a big fountain fall in the center of the building, bringing out sparkles as it flowed.

Kimberly spotted lots of boys and girls walking all over in groups, those of her age and those older than her.

"Common Kimberly, I don't have all day," the lady's voice snapped her out of her fancy trance.

Kimberly realized that she has been standing lost on a spot, staring around timidly, she quickly hastened her steps towards him.

As they journeyed, Kimberly couldn't help but wonder how she was going to cope in such a strange place alone.

Still walking, something suddenly caught her attention,

A group of girls were gathered around a muscular young man who was teaching them basic steps of throwing a good punch.

Kimberly was impressed at how smartly the girls followed his lead, deep down she knew it was going to be a hard nut to crack into her.

They walked for a long time and finally got to a particular apartment that was dazzlingly beautiful.

They had to take the stairs, and as usual, came across a lot of people and finally, the lady stopped in front of a particular door.

"And we are here, you can go in," she said and left without sparing her a second glance.

"At last," Kimberly breathed out inwardly.

She looked and made sure it was same with what the registrar had called out.

She was about pushing the door open when she started hearing slight noises from inside.

That was when it suddenly struck her.

Will she be staying alone or would she actually have roommates?

"Well you will have to open and find out right?" Her subconsciousness leered at her.

Taking in a deep breath, she slowly turned the knob and pushed the door open.

Two pairs of eyes stared intently at her as she entered.

"Are your hands missing or you are just dumb? Smart people know the value of knocking before entering a room, especially one that they haven't being in before," One of the girls barked at her, she was a redhead and looked really sassy, Kimberly didn't need to be told that she'd be having a hard time with her.

The other girl who seemed a lot calm and quiet, gently turned her head back to the book she was reading without muttering a single word.

Kimberly swallowed hard, this wasn't what she had expected, she couldn't imagine being in the same room with such weird combination of girls.

"I'm sorry, it totally skipped my memory," she tried to apologize and let it slide, but the sassy girl wasn't having it.

"Of course it did, with the way you look dumb and everything," she snapped.

Kimberly was tempted to laugh out as she said that.

She knew their was no way the girl could beat her in looks, she might be going through a rough time but that doesn't stop her from standing out anywhere she entered with her perfectly structured face and crazy curves, she knew the girl was probably being jealous.

Kimberly hated to be stepped on, she so badly wanted to serve her a dosage of her medicine, but decided against it, it's still a little too early for that.

"Let me guess? You're the new rommie?" The girl asked scanning her from the head down to the toe.

'Well, I don't think I want to be a roommate here, I want to believe I'm mistaken,' Kimberly snapped inwardly.

Of course she couldn't say it out loud.

"Uhm, room 8?" Kimberly said wishing she will say "Oh no! This is room 7, check the next room."

"That's your space over there, or you can keep standing like a mannequin," she snapped.

"You are pushing it girl," Kimberly growled inwardly.

She walked to the corner where the girl had pointed at earlier, Kimberly was satisfied with the arrangement, there was a big sized bed on the space, and a fancy drawer beside it, with other little settings that she didn't care to check out at the moment.

She realized that Mr grumpy was saying the truth when he said everything she needed will be provided.

She dropped her bag and collapsed on the bed with a heavy thud, the feel of the soft mattress on her body was amazing, she could sleep on it all day.

But first she needed to call her mom and Josh to make sure they are okay, it has only being few hours and she was missing them badly, she wondered how it was going to be like for the rest of the years, Kimberly knew there's no way that would be possible, she will definitely map an escape plan to visit them even if it means getting into trouble.

The registrar's words flashed through her head.

"Here, violations are taken seriously, you don't want to be on our watchlist, it's the worst place to be."

She ignored it and brought out her phone.

Then decided to do it outside since the sassy girl wouldn't stop turning towards her occasionally and giving her dagger stares.

She stood up and practically ran out of the room.

**

"I miss you already mom, so much," Arya cooed clutching her phone tightly to her ear as though she could feel her presence through it.

She walked around the place as she continued her call.

"You have no idea Josh, this place is practically paradise,"

"Yeah well, it's been great so far,"

She scrunched her face as she said that part.

'Great my fat butt,' she spat inwardly.

"Of course, we will speak everyday till I get the chance to come visit,"

"I'll remember that,"

"Alright then,"

"I love you mom,"

"I love you too Josh,"

"Yeah bye, please take good care of mom and yourself,"

She slowly brought down the phone her ears as a drop of tear rolled down her cheek.

"That was beautiful...." She suddenly heard behind her.
