Dillon knew that this day would come, and the Alpha was right.

The Alpha was so set on always being ready for a successor.

"Do you have any idea who did it?" Dillon asked, trying to figure out what else he could tell the Alpha.

The man said, "We have some ideas but no proof."

"Give me a list of the attacked packs and information about the people who died. I'll need it in half an hour."

"Yes, sir."

Just as quickly as he had come, the man was gone, but Dillon noticed that the man's eyes were on his hat for a few seconds.

Good thing he chose not to say anything about it.

In the past few years, lone wolves have attacked the packs on the edges of the country every two or three years, here and there. It wasn't a big deal most of the time, but it was happening more and more. In the last four months, this was the eighth attack.
