Chapter 6

SAMANTHA'S POV

"Let me go!"I screamed as he pulled me into the kitchen. Locking the door behind him. Maeve's eyes widened in surprise.

"What the hell is she doing here?" she asked.

"I found her lurking around at the back of the house" he responded.

"Why can't you be gone and out of our lives?" She said through gritted teeth.

"I know what you've done," I told her.

She smiled sincerely.

"Oh, do you know? It's about time. I thought you would be dense and stupid forever" she mocked.

"How could you do this to your sister? loved you. I cared for you. I..."I cried.

"Point of correction, you are not my sister. You never were and never will be.No matter how perfect you may seem or act, I knew that deep down you were always a whore." she said.

"What did I ever do to deserve this? I was good to you" I told her, my voice shaky with tears.

She rolled her eyes.

"You can't be serious" she replied wryly.

"Your mere existence brought me pain and misery every single day of our lives. From the moment Mom and Dad brought you to this house, I knew that you would be a problem for me. You stood in my way a lot. You took whatever did not belong to you. You even took Jonathan!" she shouted, her face reddened with anger.

"Jonathan? I gave her a confused frown.

"This Jonathan?"I asked pointing to the man who had rounded the corner to stand behind her rubbing her shoulders to calm her.

She laughed bitterly.

"Yes, this Jonathan. I met him before you. We were having mindblowing sex before you showed up. My parents didn't want to spend any money on your graduate school tuition so they had decided to sell you off to the highest bidder." she exposed.

My mouth stood agape at the brute force of the realization of the words that she was saying.

"That's not true" I refuted.

"Don't be so stupid. Whether you believed it or not, it happened. I just didn't tell my parents about our affair so we kept seeing each other even after you entered the picture. But as the wedding grew closer I began to realize that enough was enough, I needed you out of my life and since we both had the same goal, we ran it all up." she confessed.

"It's nothing personal honey," Jonathan said from behind her coldly.

"Yeah, he needed someone out of the way and I needed you out of my way so it was a win-win situation" she exposed.

"That's why you recorded the whole thing. You planned it all, the text, the one who pushed me into the room was..."I muttered to myself staring back at her smiling face.

"It wasn't me. But it was someone working for Jonathan there. While you were getting your brains fucked out, I was out in his house making love while we watched you both getting fucked." she said.

I cringed at the profane word that had escaped her lips.

"I wasn't in my right mind..."I whispered.

"Yeah, I figured you wouldn't have sex with anyone no matter how hot he was. After all, you've stayed a virgin for the whole of your miserable 23 years of life. So we added a little something to the diffuser in the room. It intoxicated whoever inhaled it and we just left you guys locked to see how it would pan out. It was a really good thing that your brother fell for it. After all, you are both hot-blooded animals ." she chuckled.

"Why?"I asked.

"Because I hate you. I've always hated you," she confessed.

"But I never did anything wrong to you" I cried.

"You didn't have to. I couldn't stand breathing the same air with you" she responded with cold eyes staring back at me. She was unrepentant.

"Now what are we going to do with you?" she tapped her chin with one finger, her lips pursed in thought.

"What do we do with her?" she asked.

His eyes were still trained on me.

"You already know the answer to that babe" his face hardened.

Her eyes widened in horror.

"We can't just kill her," she said.

I gasped.

"She knows too much."He replied.

"But..."Maeve started.

"Don't worry, I'll handle everything," he told her.

Her eyes widened in horror, as he sped straight for me. Hitting my back against the wall, he held my neck tightly. My eyes rolled back as I felt my room spin from the lack of oxygen.

"Please,"  I said breathlessly as I grappled to bring his hands off my neck.

I scratched his face to get air. His hand tightened around my neck and squeezed. I felt my body giving out, and  I felt lightheaded as I gasped for air.

"Please" I pleaded.

"Stop! Stop it, Jonathan! You'll kill her!"Maeve cried.

She pulled at his shoulder as I tried to push him away.

"Please,"  I said as the stars swarm around in my eyes.

As I felt the darkness suck me in, he pulled his hand apart. Falling to the ground on my hands and knees, I busted out into a fit of coughs as my lungs burned with the sharp intake of oxygen.

"Why would you do that? this wasn't part of the plan!"Maeve screamed.

"That's why we have to take care of it" he responded.

"I don't want any blood on my hands. We were supposed to do this without any bloodshed" she cried.

"Honey, where there is war there will always be bloodshed."He responded gripping her arms tightly.

She pulled out of his grip.

"This isn't a war, Jonathan. This is just killing an innocent person. I know I hate her but not like this. I do not want her blood on my hands." she said eyeing me now.

There was a long pause before he looked straight at me, walking the two steps towards me I scrambled backward away from his next attack.

He pulled me up by the grip on my collar.

"You should be grateful that Maeve saved you." he began.

"I do not want to see you anywhere near this house or this family ever again. Now go before I change my mind" he finished.

"Go now!"Maeve screamed.

I ran out the door, running as fast as my legs could carry me. I sped across the driveway away from the life I had always known. I ran without any destination in mind. But I kept running. Not knowing where I would end up.
