Chapter 10

Lizzies POV

When I woke up again, the sun was setting, and I was getting hungry. I slowly got out of bed. I looked around. I was the only one in the room, which was nice. After a few days of several people coming in and out of the same room I was in, it was nice to be alone. I looked around the room, looking for a bathroom. I walked over to one door and opened it. It was a closet. But there was nothing in it. I walked to the other door and opened it. I looked inside, and it seemed empty. I looked around one more time before going in. I locked the door I used to enter the bathroom.

However, I did not pay attention to the other door. I went to the bathroom and then walked over to the sink. I turned on the water, washed my hands, and then washed my face. I was reaching for a towel when I grabbed someone's hand. I jumped back. I quickly found a towel and dried my face. When I could open my eyes, I saw the person who had been in the bathroom with me. It is Alpha Wayne. I looked him up and down and realized he was wearing only a towel. I turned beet red and tried to rush out of the bathroom. I lost my footing and fell into his arms.

"Where are you going?"

" Umm, I was just washing my face."

" Alright."

He was laughing at the situation. He helped me regain my footing, and then I turned around and rushed out of the bathroom. Where did he come from? It is obvious that he had just gotten out of the shower. But what door did he come through? I had no idea. I was just as confused as ever. I knew he was my mate. I have seen mates find each other and start humping like rabbits. However, I was shy and didn't know how to do that. Not having a mother around was hard. It was hard because I had no one to talk to about this kind of situation. The one and only time I tried to talk to my father about it, he screamed at me to shut up, and I ran out of the room.

I decided to go find something to eat. I was still in the sweats that I had come home in. I needed a shower; however, I had nothing to change into. I walked into the kitchen, and Angela was there.

" Hey, Luna."

"Let's slow things down, call me Lizzie for now."

I was not sure I was ready to be a luna. I was unsure if I was ready for anything at the moment. I was still trying to process the events that had happened. I was trying to process that Im a werewitch. I had no idea what that meant. I knew there were several legends that a werewitch would rule the werewolf kingdom, but was Wayne the Alpha king? I have never meant the Alpha king. My father had several meetings with him in the past. But he never said anything about his appearance. What he looked like or anything like that. 

" Do you want something to eat?"

" Yes, please."

She went to the refrigerator and got out three bowls.

" These are leftovers from last night."

"That's fine."

She opened the bowls. In the first bowl was a salad, the second had some chicken, and the third had what looked like garlic bread. She then got to plates out of the cupboard to the right of the sink, and then the drawer under that cupboard, she got two forks out. She then took the chicken over to the microwave and heated it up. She did the same with the garlic bread. We were sitting there waiting when Wayne walked in.

" I wasn't invited."

" You, sir, were taking a shower."

" I was entertaining your mate."

She chuckled, and so did she. I was the only child, so I didn't know what it was like to have siblings. He grabbed himself a plate and got himself some food. We sat there eating and drinking. We were enjoying ourselves when Cameron. ran into the kitchen. 

" Alpha rogues are attacking the south border."

" Alright were coming."

Angela and Wayne got up and started heading out. I then join them.

" What are you doing Im joining you."

" No your not."

" Yes, I am."

Wayne then walked over to me.

" I don't have time to argue with you."

" Stay close to me."

I think he doesn't know that I know how to fight. That was one thing my father made sure I knew how to do. Was to fight. I was at the top of my class in hand-to-hand combat. However, fighting in wolf form was something that I had no idea how to do. I have been training in hand-to-hand combat since I was twelve years old. He had me take karate and other martial arts classes. I have a black belt in all of them. I was supposed to test for my sixth-degree black belt, but that was not going to happen. We took off running towards the border.

When we arrived, there were at least twenty rogues and ten of us. They were in wolf form. I shifted. Even though I had no idea what I was doing, I was going to try to help the best way I could. A rogue charged at me. I dodged it, and it ran into the tree behind me. I then lunged at and sank my teeth into its neck. The warm blood ran into my mouth. I jerked my head back and forth and ripped out its throat. Then another one was on top of me. He hit me so hard that I blacked out. As I was blacking out, I could see Wayne fighting, and he then turned to where I was and yelled.

" LIZZIE."
