Chapter 8

Lizzies POV

The house that we pulled up to was huge. There were people lined up on the stairs waiting to greet us. He then whispered into my ear.

"Welcome home, Luna."

As we walked up the stairs to the front, I looked at how the house was painted. It was a baby blue with dark blue trim. There were rose bushes all along the porch. The stair railing was bars painted a dark blue. It was beautiful. I had no idea blue could be so beautiful. The maids were dressed in blue maid outfits. Not the typical black-and-white dresses. It seemed that the color theme was blue around her. When we approached the door, a butler was there to open it. Again, he was dressed in blue. Everything was so gorgeous.

After the butler opened the door, Alpha Wayne thanked the butler.

"Thank you, Mikey."

" Yes, Alpha."

He seemed very grateful to the people who helped him day to day. When we walked into the house, the front hallway wasn't very long. After you walked into the hallway, it opened to a circular entrance. You could clearly see the doors that led to each room. The living room was on the right, and the kitchen door was on the left. Then it looked like a den straight ahead of you. There were stairs to the left, and Alpha Wayne walked towards them and carried me up them. The stairs had carpet on them. However, the carpet was cream-colored. The railing for the stairs was copper-colored.

When we got upstairs again, it was circular. There were four bedrooms, or what I assumed were bedrooms. The walls were painted white. The lights in the ceiling were beautiful. They were soft and not too bright. There were windows everywhere. It seemed that he preferred natural lighting over using the lights. He went to the room that was to the left. He opened the door, and when I walked in, I noticed that it was decorated in the same colors as the hall. 

There was a picture of a man and a woman on the wall. It looked like the picture could be of his parents. Then there seemed to be a family photo from when he was a kid, with a young girl. It was just a room. It was not decorated like a bachelor's or had pictures of naked girls. I thought that was odd. Exactly how old is Alpha Wayne? I just turned eighteen. He did not look too old. I will ask him later. 

He gently sat me on the bed. I groaned in pain. Even though I was healing, it still hurt sometimes. The pain would be there for a few days. When I groaned, he looked concerned hr rubbed the back of his neck. 

" Are you ok?"

" Im not always gentle."

" Im fine." 

"That's good."

He then looked around as if searching for something to say.

" Can I get you anything?"

" No Im fine."

I could tell he was nervous. So was I. I have never been alone in a bedroom with a man besides my father. This was new to me as well. I looked around the room some more. I noticed there were double doors leading to a balcony. There was another door that could either be a closet or a bathroom. I didn't know because it was closed. I was going to ask, but there was a knock on the door.

" Come in."

After he said that, a young girl about my age ran into the room and hugged him. All of a sudden, I felt jealous and was starting to get upset. Who was this girl who could just run up to him like that?

" Luna its not nice to meet you."

" Im Angela."

Then he introduced her as his sister. That put me at ease. Angela stopped hbugging him then came over to me. Alpha Wayne was busy looking through the bags that were already in the room. Angela then sat down on the bed and started talking to me. She told me that she had heard that my father kicked me out of my pack befcasue Im a werewitch. I then told her that he had tried to kill.

" Oh you poor thing."

She then hugged me. She then got off the bed and went up to Alpha Wayne.

" Wayne, is it true that her father tried to kill her?"

" Yes, it is."

I had begun to cry again. I was still in shock and disbelief about what had happened. I felt like my birthday would never be the same again. Angela then left the room, and Alpha Watne brought me a pill and a glass of water. I took the medicine.

" Here, take this."

He then asked if I was hungry. I said no because honestly Im not. I knew that not eating while you're healing wasn't good for you. However, I had no appetite. He then came and sat down on the bed. He gently pulled me into his lap. I inhaled his scent. It was very comforting. I loved his smell. The medicine started to affect me, and I fell asleep in his lap. I don't know how long I was asleep before I woke up again. 

When I woke up again, the sun was going down.
