Chapter 9

Alpha Wayne's POV

After leaving Lizzie to sleep, I went to the dungeon. I needed to speak to those bastards who barged into the hospital. I asked Gunner where they were, and he pointed to the cells at the very end of the rows. I knew why he did it. Because they were separated from all the other prisoners. There are not a lot of prisoners in my dungeon. Right now, not including the six men who barged into the hospital, there are a total of ten prisoners. Their crimes range from petty theft to murder.

I walked to their cell. One 0of them rushed the bars. They are made of silver and cannot be pried open. He barely touched it, and his hand started to burn.

" Let us out."

"Alpha Ford will hear about this."

" Yes, he will."

" I have already sent a message to him."

That is true. I have already sent him a message. I wanted to know if what happened really happened. I have also sent a message to his parents. To join us. I knew that his parents would tell the truth. If what has been said is true, then he is guilty of breaking two of the werewolf laws. The first law was killing witches. The other was casting out his daughter when she was not guilty of breaking any laws. I have also summoned the elders to come to my house. They will be there when I confront him about these things. 

He has to confess to killing the witch and for casting his daughter out and ordering her to be killed. When it comes to alphas, they have to confess, or you have to have physical evidence. I have six witnesses here who will be forced to tell the truth. I have a witch that lives here. She has made a potion that makes people tell the truth. They will be given the potion before the meeting with the elders. I will also put the potion in a drink that I give Alpha Ford. That way, it will be almost impossible for him to lie.

I honestly have the mind to attack his pack and take him prisoner. I will see if he responds to my letter first. I don't need the elders' permission to attack. I just need to justify it afterward. I have more than enough evidence to back up why I would be attacking them. When a naked girl shows up on my lands, bleeding and in need of medical care. I know they will not take kindly to that. 

" Are you going to tell me what's going on, or am I going to have to get violent?"

" We will not talk."

" Suit yourself."

I turned around and walked out. Maybe some more time to think will do some good. I walked back to the house. The sun was setting. When I walked into the Mikey was waiting at the door. 

"How's the Luna?"

"She's still sleeping."

"That's good."

She needs all the rest she can get after what she has been through. 

"Here's a letter from the elders."

That was a quick response. I walked into my office and sat down at my desk. I then opened the letter.

Dear Alpha Wayne,

We will be there tomorrow morning. Please don't do anything yet. We will discuss the matter.

Your truly Elder Robert

I will give them until tomorrow to get here. If they are not here by sundown, then I will attack them. I then checked my email again, and nothing important. That was good. I then called for Mikey by using the intercom.

" Mikey, come here, please."

He was in my office within minutes.

" Will you please go find Angels?"

" Yes."

Im going to have Angela see if Lizzie is up for shopping tomorrow. I will make a plan with her to keep Lizzie busy while I deal with the elders. I have not told them whose daughter showed up on my land needing help. In the message that I sent them, it said an alpha's daughter showed up on my land, severely injured and naked. They know when the young wolves shift for the first time. On Friday, they were going to make their round and have the young wolves shift again. That was common practice.

Angela showed up in my office.

" Yes, big brother."

" I wanted to check in with you."

Besides being my sister, she was also one of my best warriors. She also helped plan attacks and keep the pack safe.

" Do you want a report then?"

" Yes."

Let's get the pack business out of the way, then I'll move on to personal business. She gave me a report that several young wolves who have shifted for the first time will start training in wolf form tomorrow. They have been training in hand-to-hand combat since they were twelve. She said that the patrols were going well, and Cameron was out patrolling right now. That was good news that patrols were going well. That the borders were secured and that she found out how Lizzie was able to get onto the land without being detected.

It was during our shifting ceremony that one of the borders was poorly patrolled. I will have a word with the people who were responsible for that. If my memory serves correctly, one of their siblings was shifting for the first time, whoever he was, and was supposed to find a replacement while he attended the ceremony. I understood how important it was to be there for your family.

I almost missed Angela's first shift because I was on patrol. I made it just in time to see her shift for the first time.

" Thank you for the report."

" Now I have a favor to ask."

"What's that?"

" Take my credit card and go shopping with Lizzie in the morning."

" You know I love shopping."

" I have to be to work at one tomorrow afternoon."

She works at the little cafe four blocks down the road. She doesn't have to work, but she chooses to.
