Chapter 11

Alpha's Wayne POV

We were fighting the rogues and outnumbered. However, I had faith in my warriors. I knew they could take anything thrown at them. I knew that we would be fine. I was fighting two of the rogues when I looked to my left, and Lizzie was doing her best against two rogues. She was struggling to fight them off. I was fighting the two that were in front of me. I finally got them to the ground and knocked them out. I looked where Lizzie was, and she had been hit in the head, and she was bleeding. She was on the ground.

" LIZZIE."

I ran over to her. I shifted back into my human form and picked up Lizzie.  I ran her to the pack hospital. 

" Doctor Raymond."

" Lay her here."

I placed her on the bed. He quickly went to work on her. She was bleeding from her head and from her stomach. She had been hurt, and I was not happy. She can fight; however, she needs more training. I was impressed that she had tried to take on two wolves at once. She was not strong enough in her wolf form yet. That was what she was trying to do: fight in wolf form. She did not do too well. She fought really well in hand-to-hand combat. That was until they shifted. That was when she struggled. 

I paced back and forth while Doctor Raymond worked on her. More and more nurses were running into the room. I finally had had enough waiting, and I barged into the operating room.

"WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON?"

Doctor Raymond ushered me out of the room.

" A main artery was hit in the fight."

" We have got it closed now."

" She will be ok."

" Her wolf is healing her."

That was a relief that she was healing. They wheeled her out of the operating room, and I followed her to the recovery room. She was still asleep. This poor girl. She turned eighteen, her father tried to kill her, and then she got hurt again. When Im able to take her home Im going to lock her in my room and never let her out. I had to laugh at the thought. She seemed like she would not put up with that. What am I going to do with her? She was going to drive me insane. I sat by her bedside. She had been asleep for a long time.

" Doctor Raymond, when will she wake up?"

" That depends on her."

" Im going to be honest with you."

" When we were operating on her, it felt like she was giving up on life."

That was not good. If she gave up on life, she would die. That was what happened to werewolves when they gave up on life. If they did not die, they would go insane and end up attacking their own pack. I did not want that for her. I went and sat next to her bed.

" Lizzie, I know that you can hear me."

"Don't give up, baby. I need you."

After I said that, her vitals started to stabilize. She needed to hear that. I do need her; she is my fated mate. I know that she has been through alot. I want to make her life better. She needs me to take care of her. She was starting to wake up, and her body was healing. Thank the moon goddess. She still had not opened her eyes yet, but she was getting better. She started to move around. Which I was grateful for. I felt like I could leave the room and go have a chat with one of the prisoners.

I walked out of the hospital, and Angela and Cameron were waiting in a car. 

" Alpha."

Right now, they knew it was not the right time to act differently, except that I was the alpha and they were members of the back.

" To the dungeon."

Unfortunately, the dungeon was behind the pack house, and it was on the other side of the poack grounds. I hated that I would be that far away from her, but right now I needed answers.I walked into the dungeon, and the prisoners were in the first two cells. There are five of them. 

"WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ALL IN THE SAME CELL?"

I was not impressed by that. I wanted them in different cells. The guards started to separate them. There was a woman clinging to a man. They were either mates or brother and sister. I took her first. I dragged her to the interrogation room. I was not treating her like a female. I threw her against the wall and then picked her by the throat and threw her into a chair. She was bleeding from the mouth and nose.

" If you don't want to have something else bleeding, then speak."

" Who sent you?"

She got a wicked smile and then said.

" Why don't you ask your hybrid?"

I slapped her.

" Oh, wait, she's dead."

I wanted to yell and say no shes not; however, I wasn't going to give the surprise away. When Lizzie woke up, I'm going to parade her around town. She is my Luna, and she will recover. I slapped her again.

" I will never tell you."

It was pointless to keep trying to get answers from her. So I brought the male that she was holding on to. 

" Either you will answer me, or he's going to die."

He looked at her and said.

" Babe, don't say anything."

So they are mates. They feel each other's pain. I took a silver knife and stabbed her in the leg. I pulled it out. The silver would prevent her from healing. He dropped because he felt her pain. I then stabbed her in the arm. Again, complete silence. 

" Take them back to their cells."

" Make sure to keep them separated."

They could not comfort each other in different cells. Since she was stabbed with a silver dagger, she would not heal right away. I had stabbed deep enough to make it where she would probably bleed to death. 

" Bring in the next prisoner."
