Alpha Wayne And His Hybrid Mate

Lizzie POV

My name is Lizzie Im Alpha Ford's daughter. Tonight is my eighteenth birthday. Tonight is the night of my first shift. I had been preparing all day for it. I had gotten my nails done and had bought a special dress for the party, then a cute sweater outfit to change into after my first shift. As I was preparing, I started to think about my mother. My mother was killed when I was a child. I was never told why. For weeks, I had been trying to find a picture of her to look at. After she was killed, it was like my father had her erased from the pack archives. She was the Luna of the pack, and from what I was told, she was a very good Luna.

I had heard rumors that she was killed because she was a witch. When I asked my father about it, he denied it. He would never talk about her. I wanted to know more about my mother. Today was supposed to be a celebration. I wanted something of hers tonight to be with me as I went through my first shift. However, I could not find anything. I finally gave up trying to find something. I had been told that my mother was very skinny even after giving birth to me. I, on the other hand, was neither skinny nor fat. I had meat on my bones. I have curves. I have been trained since I was twelve years old. Even through training, I thought that I would lose my curves, but now they have just become more defined.

I liked my curves. Some of the other girls at school had made fun of me, but it didn't bother me. I did not want to be skinny. It seemed that those kinds of girls required more training, and they would have to train harder. I was glad that the moon goddess blessed me with my curves. I was hoping that tonight I would also find my true mate. It has been said that during my first shift, I would find my mate. I know it did happen; I have seen it numerous times. I have never gotten involved with anyone from the academy because I wanted to save myself for my true love. I continue preparing for my party. I decided that I want it to be just my father, grandparents, and my best friend from school, Trisha. Everyone else had such extravagant parties. That was not my scene. I wanted my birthday to be special. 

I knew the pack elders were going to be there. That was a common practice. They would see how strong my wolf was when I shifted. I was looking in the mirror and marveling at my bright red hair. I knew I got it from my mother because my father has black hair. So that was the only reason I could think of that I would have red hair. Some whispered about the fire wolf. Whoever4 the moon goddess, blessed with that wolf could rule the whole werewolf kingdom.  I had no desire to rule anything. I wanted to find my mate and settle down. I knew that someday I would take over the pack because I'm the alpha heir. But that was not going to be until my father had died or been killed. 

I was sitting in front of the mirror doing my makeup when my wolf spoke to me. 

" Hi, Lizzie. I'm Charlotte, your wolf."

" Hi Charlotte."

I got my wolf. But was it a bit early to get her? Usually, you don't get your wolf until later in the evening of your birthday. I did not worry about it, and I finished getting ready for my party. I had just finished doing my makeup when there was a knock on my bedroom door.

" Who is it?"

"It's me, your father."

" Come in, Daddy."

He walked into the room and stopped in his tracks. I had picked a red dress that was a bit low-cut and came down to my knees. 

"Really? Do I?"

" Yes."

He did not seem to be happy about it. 

" The guests are starting to arrive."

"I'll be down in a minute."

I grabbed my sweats and headed out the door. I had chosen to wear no shoes. I hated wearing shoes anyway. I spent a good portion of my childhood running around barefoot. That was by my choice, not anyone else's choice. I was greeted by my grandparents, then by the elders. We ate dinner, then we had cake.  Then there was some dancing. Trisha had brought her brother and her boyfriend to the party, which I was fine with. I danced with her brother. He has had a crush on me for a long time. But I had told him that I was not going to date anyone until I found my mate.

I had seen too many people get their hearts broken. That was not going to be me. As the sun was setting, we went outside and began to prepare for my shift. The elders lit the ceremonial fire, and then we all prayed to the moon goddess. We pray that I have a safe shift and that nothing goes wrong. That's when I felt the first pain of shifting. I could feel my bones breaking as I shifted around to shift into my wolf. I started screaming. Charlotte then spoke.

" Let me take over, don't fight it."

I cleared my mind and let her take over. I then shifted into my wolf. The shift had torn my dress into shreds. I finally completed my shift. Everyone gasped. Why was everyone acting that way?

" Charlotte, what's going on?"

"You're glowing."

That was not good; it meant that Im a werewitch. Im half werewolf and half witch. I then heard the alpahs howl. I turned around, still in wolf form. 

" Boys kill her."
