55. A plan against the alpha?
Alpha Damien dashed out of the double door, tears in his eyes, to his car. When he saw Aurora there, he lost tolerance with his feelings. She appeared thin and destitute, as if she needed him.
Only he knew how he kept himself in check, which is why he didn't rush over to help her when she fell. Her entire being screamed that she wanted him. Wanted the warmth of his rough yet protective arms where she belonged. He couldn't watch her like that or forget that she bloody cheated on him with three men, so he twisted around and went, despite the need to grab her in his arms.
"Why did you have to hurt me like that, Aura? Why do you have to hurt us like that?"
He then sat inside his car wanting to close himself away— somewhere away she or her thought wouldn't reach him.&
Oops, this seems like a plan? Will it get Aura and Damien and draw them apart forever?
56. Regret after committing a mistake They stared blankly in the thin air. Perspiration glistened on their faces. One can see goosebumps rising on both their hands as their lips shook dreadfully in horror. Peter and Ginny were in a daze after hearing the breaking news. "Aurora is really pregnant?!" It came as a gasp from Ginny's matted red lips. Hearing the truth, Ginny felt herself almost dead. The tables seemed to have incredibly turned. She tried not to look helpless across another woman but the terror searing through her was immense. Tears built up and soon they were strolling down her eyes. "Oh my god, she is genuinely pregnant and I sent those fake photos to Damien." Covering her mouth in panic, she slipped from the edge of the couch as she was barely sitting comfortably. Ginny didn't look thankful at all when Peter saved her in time and pu
57. His cold comebackThe sound of the clock filled the air. Tick. Tick. Tick. The only noise beside Aura's soft breathing. She was cocooned in the warmth of her blanket, sleeping peacefully having no clue of the tempest dancing outside the door of the manor.Madam Martha was pacing to and fro with a pallid face. Her fingers battled with each other and her mouth twisted and pressed in a line. Her heart hammered in her chest painfully as she can't help but imagine the consequences. What if Damien abandons her??What if he asks her to leave his house??What if he calls the baby in her womb filth? Her eyes watered and blinked irrationally. Her mind was occupied with so many things that when the slamming of the door hit her eardrums, she could not move. Alpha Damien was home. In his bedroom probably because of the thudding sound of his hasty hea
58. All shame for himThe old lady took a backward step. She can't believe he'd go to this extent.Oscar, one of the men he trusted so much, was ordered to be killed. Someone he saved from trafficking and took under his protection, in his employment. Why? Because of a misunderstanding. Because of fake photos.Nothing about the photos looked fake, but still, how could he not think with his brain? How can he let his broken heart take control over his kindness?Madam Martha had no second thoughts regarding the anguishes he was feeling. His eyes said enough. Those embers sparkling with a border of redness expressed all. Nevertheless, does he have to be so heartless? She was staring at him with an open mouth as she softly sniffed. "Oh, I think I should not be surprised at your correct guessing. It's you, after all, who trained that sl*t." He spat without thinking of th
59. His allegations "Aurora?" The old Housekeeper tore herself away with a choking sob as she scurried all the way towards Aurora, who was trying to keep herself up by the support of the wall. "Baby, you're awake? Umm, we were talking about some business." Madam Martha made an excuse but little did she know Aura had heard everything. She didn't express any feelings on her face. All the while her eyes gawked at the front, at him. Anxiety and sliver of tension coursed through her. Damien never looked at her with such disgusted gaze. She only heard some bits of his aggressive pour out but she knew he was mad at something. "Let's go back to your room, honey." Aura took a step forward, towards Damien, against her mother's insistence. She took baby steps and tried to walk carefully toward him but her foot tripped. Before she could fall, Aurora ba
60. Your services are no longer required!Aura's POVMy chest burdened down with the heaviness of his accusation. I froze in his hold as I felt him wrapping his hands tightly around me. He didn't have any intention to let me go once I slipped in the cage of his heated fingers yet he didn't drop any opportunity to hurt me."Yes, Aura? Tell me. I've been dying to know that since I saw those pictures. You seem to be close with each of them. I wonder who is better than me?" He softly whispered.Had my Ma not gasped, I would not have realized he was so noisy. I thought he was whispering that to me slowly so that no one caught even the hint of it.I never knew he would ask me such an insulting question. I stood at my place quietly. My brain stopped working. All I could hear was only his voice and his words echoing in my ears.So far I've only
61. Moving out of his arena? I love him more than anything, but never knew he would suspect my dignity. I was thinking of spending the rest of my life with him. But he shattered all my hopes and aspirations mercilessly. Such a man does not deserve to know about his baby… my baby now. Once we were inside my room, I closed the door and dragged Ma towards the window. It was still raining heavily outside, and I felt relieved. The noise of the downpour would keep our conversation from him. Except I have zero chance he would come to listen to us after his straightforward announcement. "Please don't do this to yourself and the baby." I smiled as she quickly covered my stomach with her trembling hand. "Do you think I wished for it?" I softly whispered, licking my lips. "None of us wished for it." "Yet here we are." I took her hands smilingly. "Maybe
62. A greeting card from his baby?Alpha Damien's POVMy heart ached whenever I lifted my gaze to look into her eyes. She was shaking in pain. But her vulnerable expression expressed her disappointment. For her I was an animal all of a sudden. A filthy cruel lone wolf with cold terror who made her legs shake."Don't blame her for anything. She has nothing to do with this all. Madam Martha didn't know any of these."Her words kept ringing in my ears. So she silently accepted it. Accepted that she played with my heart.I saw her stepping out in the rainy night with faltering heartbeats. My chest compressed with anguish. My wolf wriggled inside me, wanting to come out and pounce on her so he could pierce his dirty yellow canines in her neck.Hunter hated me when I fell in love with her years ago while we had our mate. Years later, he was the one who grew mor
63. Truth of her pregnancy revealedTears of despair strolled down Madam Martha's eyes one after another. Her wrinkled face was red and eyes flickering in dizziness. Her body was too weak to make a move ever since her daughter stepped out of the double doors. They were still open, the thunder still roaring outside. Thankfully the rain had reduced into a soft drizzle, providing some relief to the old lady who was sitting on the floor by the side of the plush sofa set, constantly wondering about her daughter.Madam Martha mentally cursed herself. The flashbacks of her past life came running to her mind. Just like her boyfriend had asked her to go away from him, Damien asked Aura. The only difference was that he threw her out of his life over a misunderstanding. Her heart screamed in pain. She was brave enough to abort her child but Aurora would never do it. It is the symbol of h
