Chapter 25
While Amelia ate her dinner quietly, she felt very nervous about how she would sleep tonight knowing that Damian would be next to her.
Unfortunately, Damian couldn't join her for dinner. Haris came to the mansion carrying a bunch of documents that needed Damian's approval.
Amelia walked to her room, her heartbeat started to rise. She opens the door and saw the empty room. Amelia turns her head to the bathroom and hears the sound of someone showering. 'No way...is he showering?' she asked herself, silently panicking while imagining Damian's newly showered body.

Amelia yawned loudly, feeling drowsy after eating. While Damian was spending his time with Amelia, someone knocked on the door.The door opened and it was Damian's other secretary. "Sir, madam Olivia is here"Amelia flinched. She glared at Amelia before sitting down in front of the two."I'm pregnant," Olivia said as she rubs her flat stomach. Amelia's eyes widened, she bit her lip and gripped her clothes. Amelia stole a glance at Damian whose expression didn't change at all."Congratulations. So, what are you here for?" Damian said. Amelia was having breakfast together with Damian. Lately, she had been noticing that Damian was in a good mood after what happened at the office."Amelia" Damian called.Amelia looks at him as she chews her food. It was the night before the engagement party. Arthur was sitting down on the couch of Damian's study. Amelia had already gone to bed as she was feeling tired and vomited a lot that day."Are you sure about doing the engagement party?" Arthur asked as he took a sip from the tea served to him."Hm," Damian replied with a slight nod."After the engagement party I'm sure some rats would try to harm the child inside of her," Arthur said. The 'rats' that was spoken of was the people who are on very bad terms with Damian. "It's your heir, after all"

They arrived at the venue where the engagement party will take place. Amelia held Damian's arm as they walk towards the entrance. A staff opened the door for them. They entered slowly, pacing themselves. The murmuring crowd stopped and all turned to look at the star of the party. Their eyes wide in surprise as they gossip about Amelia who had a calm gaze as she looks around the room.Damian walks with Amelia towards the stage. A staff handed him a microphone. "Everyone, I appreciate you all for coming today on this very important occasion. Let me introduce you all to my fiancee, Amelia" Damian slowly wrapped his arms around her waist. Amelia smiled gently at the motionless crowd.

Amelia opens her eyes. She felt herself smile after seeing Damian's peacefully sleeping face. She suddenly felt the urge to wrap her arm around his waist. Amelia snuggled to his chest. Somehow, she liked the feeling of waking up with someone by her side. After a few minutes, she got up and went to the bathroom to perform her morning routine. She looks at herself in the bathroom mirror as she gently rubs her stomach. 'It's not noticeable yet' she thought as she stares at her flat tummy.Damian felt the emptiness of the bed beside him. Calia asked as she took a bite from the cookies that Maisy served them."A month and a half," Amelia answered with a smile."I see" Calia replied.While the two were busy chatting, the butler, along with the other servants were hiding at the side, eavesdropping at their conversation. Because of the distance, they can't hear what they were talking about but they can see by the smile on Amelia's face that it was a pleasant conversation.
